A German lorrry driver in a Newcastle pub is gobbing off about how lazy British truck drivers are.
 
He's bragging that he drives his load from Hamburg, goes through Holland, Belgium, up to Newcastle and back to Hamburg in two days.
 
This old Geordie man mutters "Ah, way-ay, man.... I used to pick up me load in Newcastle, drop off in Hamburg and be back in Newcastle for a fish and chip supper the same day"
 
The gobby German trucker retorts " Oh ja? vot rig were you driving zen? Scania, Mercedes, vot?
 
After taking a long swig of his pint of Newcastle Brown Ale the old fella replies :
 
 
" Naw, man ......... a Lancaster ! "

Great to hear of another local owner. I live a littler further away but work just outside Huntingdon. If you get the craving between now and when you collect, hit me up and take mine for a short drive. Won't be the same as yours (mine has a few modifications) but it will scratch the itch...

Rob - you're right as far as Snetterton entries are concerned.
 
Javelin were fully booked, Colin even mentioned at briefing that it looked as though for the first time he was going to break even on Sprint costs...
 
Even though the clocks had gone forward an hour there could have still been time for a play at the end if the weather hadn't scuppered the timing... oh, and a car scuppered the timing board, haha...
 
I still like the idea of us doing our own trackday...

Gremlin's TRD looks pretty neat and I love his numberplate..
 
Lots of witty banter, some good ideas for future meets and a yellow peril to chase home on  the M25... life doesn't get any better than that..

That's it, the Sprint boys have got their slicks into you. In next to no time, you'll be touring the world to get to where you started from as quickly as possible in under 2  hours with Lewis Hamilton trying to chat you up on the way round!
