ACE Header for RHD cars in @ Abbey Motorsport

Thanks Mark - looks like it's worth waiting for a 350 on the Ace header then... I guess sticking a decent high flow secondary cat in would drop the top end a bit but possibly a similar drop on both HKS and ACE?

Android Auto DAB head unit - Pioneer AVIC-F70DAB?

Stock, you get tweeters up top and woofers in the doors, no mids though. The stock HU is useless, first step I did was upgrade to the same HU that Lauren has - it drove the stock speakers much better, but nowhere near as good as going the whole hog with power amp, 3-way components and sub in the boot
  3. Well, after my trek across France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia (and then in reverse), I can officially state, Lauren you're horrible for recommending the Furka Pass - the ascent I did (videos will be uploaded at some point) was the most terrifying drive I've ever completed (including driving in blizzards around mountains!). The descent was great and the Grimsel pass is well worth doing. I didn't have time for susten this time, unfortunately, but will consider it for my route planning next year You're 100% correct about Stelvio it's a bit zzzzz However, I will add the road east from Bolzano to San Pellegrino Pass is awesome (another vid to be uploaded). I didn't see a single GT86 or BRZ on the whole trip, but, I did have many nice comments about the car and a lot of double takes! Last year, I did a different route through Germany, Austria then Italy, Slovenia to Croatia (same destination as I'm visiting the outlaws there!)...I drove the Q7 that time and thought it would be hard to beat as a car for cruising. However, I think the GT86 is better - it's not great when the road surface is crap - the Q is much better there, but for everything else, it's just so nimble and direct. I am glad I've got sticky tyres and some minor tweaks to the suspension (more camber) as this really helped my confidence on some of the twisty mountain roads.

One on order - new GT86 in GT86 Blue

Get Toyota to lend you a car til yours arrives...my dealer did this for me Maybe Toyota GB can let you use one of theirs at the track day...
  5. I think it's same price, but a lot more convenient I'll be monitoring your posts for ideas for my return route
  6. For the tag for peage, check out: http://www.eurotunnel.com/uk/traveller-info/sanef-tolling/ saves €10 application fee It still costs extra, but when we over at easter, all the tag lanes were clear and the pay lanes had queues...(so I'm hoping the same again as Saturday 25th will be busy!) For me, it's great as we'll be heading over in the "panzer" with the kids a few times over the next year, and the tag is transferable to other vehicles (so don't leave it in the car!)
  7. I'll be passing through 2 days before you...25th for the crossing down to Mulhouse in France nr the Swiss border. Then I'm off across the fluela & stelvio passes to Bolzano and then on to the Dalmatian coast 1 week of chilling and then the return trip...(My wife & kids are flying ahead of me, so I can enjoy the drive with loud music and freedom to stop when I want ) Return trip will involve stopping off in either Reims or Epernay to stock up on the good stuff... We'll have to agree to differ on the beer and chocolate...I prefer real ale to belgian beer (and I thought Bruges = Pergatory) Grindelwald is beautiful and the cog train up to Jungfraujoch is worth a go, especially if you're a Bond fan BTW if you order the tag for the peage with your chunnel booking number it's free - just pay the tolls ... as I'm going solo, this is going to make my life much easier til I hit Croatia

    Mobile Networks

Site share is not the same as spectrum or antenna...EE have the potential to dominate the UK market if they're astute in spectrum utilisation Having said that, O2 & VF are pants 3 buying O2 will mean they could be the best bet for rural, but they're screwed in dense urban areas - just not enough spectrum to deliver decent service to a densely populated area.

    Mobile Networks

Orange bought T-Mobile? It was a merger not an acquisition...which is why Deutsche Telekom will get a stake in BT as part of BT's acquisition of EE EE have the most licensed spectrum meaning they should be able to offer the best experience. I have a sim on 3 and one on EE and if on 4G then EE is better, but both are crap on 3G 3 do still have blackspots, but do have a wifi calling app to help with those (EE also support WiFi calling now) Don't get a contract for more than a year as next year the operator landscape will go through major changes, and who knows how it will pan out... BT buy EE -> EE will become $%^& because BT will slow everything down 3 buy O2 -> maybe 3 can reinvigorate the O2 assets and produce a better network

    Litchfield GT86 Performance Pack

The LPP is good in terms of R&D etc that has gone into it (and I have it), but, if I was looking now, I'd be awaiting updates from Mark@Abbey regarding Headers on NA If I was to do it again, I'd go headers first - remove the restrictive primary cat and the torque dip in one go! For customer service, personally I can vouch for Mark and the guys at Abbey and lots of people here will vouch for Adrian@Fensport When I had the Miltek crack, Litchfield were very quick to respond and it was just timing to get my car to them for the free swap. However, for updates it is difficult Flat Foot Shift, Launch Control, Auto-Blip are all features any of the ECUTek tuners can provide

I'm sure you can get more out of her Liking the linear power delivery!
  12. pCars on PC with my 10+ year old MS Sidewinder Pro is fine, no issues with sensitivity and the force feedback is great Love the addons for it - especially Tom Shane's profiler - not sure what addons will work with PS4 version though (my PC is 4 years old and still runs pCars at 1080p no problem)

Good news, I'd like to see what you can do with one of those on an NA car (and how LOUD it gets)!

What other marques are you all into?

The most reliable and fastest car I've had was my old Impreza...heavily modified but still looked "stock", very satisfying to drive especially with four wheel drifts round corners That was followed by an S2000, and I have to agree the 9k redline was a blast. I had to satisfy a desire to have an M3, so E90 it was, but BMW customer service was awful...miss the V8 a little I have to admit - that linear torque delivery was lovely I'd love to own a '70 Chevelle SS 454, not sure how practical it would be over here though
