Rab 60 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 I'm going to speak to them on monday once we have rough numbers so please dont let the price put you off just yet!!! I will be using my tight-ar$ed scotsman approach and try for the best deal possible. I agree £95 all in for 50mins track time in the DMAX karts is a bit much
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 Sounds really good. Last time I went karting at Daytona I ended up in A&E, so count me out of that one. But I'll think about doing the dyno runs. Will likely have Indy so karting isn't her thing really! Do keep us posted.
adam 70 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 This sounds like a great idea to me love karting
Mike 458 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 Sounds good to me, not sure on karting yet, depends on cost/venue
Jamie_GRMN 177 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 Should be able to manage this one and maybe the karting depending on price

Ztox 230 Report post Posted July 24, 2015 What have you got? Sorry, I should have said 'buy and get my exhaust done' lol. I'm looking at the Tomei 80.
JamesP1991 222 Report post Posted July 24, 2015 Sorry, I should have said 'buy and get my exhaust done' lol. I'm looking at the Tomei 80R. Do it! They are awesome! Can't beat that fat single exit! Although they do drone like hell apparently.. But eh.. Who cares?!
Ztox 230 Report post Posted July 24, 2015 Not me. I'm fine with drone, like it even. Yea I've always loved Jap cars with a massive can at the back so thought I'd make mine one of those. It'll also be good in the future at 3.15"
Rab 60 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 Daytona were supposed to call me back yesterday, but since they haven't - and I get the feeeling most folk think they're too expensive anyway - I think I'll leave it and make enquiries elsewhere. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or is everyone ok with karting?
nikndel 509 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 Have you tried Wowcher or Wow we were getting 20 minutes for £12 but that was a local track in Essex
smudge 1020 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 Anything that has a deal with wowcher I can only imagine will be poo... 1 adam reacted to this

DanJ 374 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 Rye House or Whilton Mill are possible alternatives to Daytona for karting you might want to have a look at.
Tareim 343 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 I've raced at Whilton Mill on a 115cc 2 stroke kart, great track
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 Whilton Mill is very good to be fair. It's just a matter of weighing up the distance from Amber to there.
Rab 60 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 Whilton Mill is approx 55 mins drive from Amber, I'll find out what the latest time (and cost!) would be for a session there and we can weigh up the options. Perhaps those of us who fancy the DMAX karting at Milton Keynes could arrange another date for this?
rob275 1817 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 lets go paintballing instead
Rab 60 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 lets go paintballing instead I had thought of that but it takes a lot longer and probably wouldn't be able to fit in with the meet at Amber, again though, would make another great meet. I used to do Airsoft, slightly more painful and specialised but great fun!

Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 Rab, any idea how many people want a dyno as this could have a big impact on time.
Tareim 343 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 I wouldn't mind having a dyno to see what my mods are doing pre tune
smudge 1020 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 If I'm all run in and had my oils changed after the build I'd like to run on the dyno
Mike 458 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 Tempted by a dyno run as my only other one was with a few thousand miles on it
Rab 60 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 We've decide to rearrange the Karting for another date for those of us happy to pay for the 40min endurance in the Dmax Karts so a new thread will be created for this later on on the year. So for now, please keep letting us know what exhausts you've got and what you want from the day!! No details of Dyno availability yet, so once it's up and running will have more info and can start arranging time slots etc... Cheers!!
