    Update -
Work in the bodyshop is now nearing the end. All the major work is now complete. The arches and skirts have been painted over the weekend, and have come out great. My concern was getting a close match to the pearl white, but Lee has done a brilliant job.
Spraying of the front bumper and boot today, then time to reassemble. Hoping it will be ready for Wednesday.

Looking forward to getting these bad boys on!!!

The next update will hopefully be the finished product later this week, all being well.

Quick update, wheels, coilovers and BBK went on last, absolutely love the result, stance is great and a massive positive change handling/cornering. Adrian also spent another couple of hours remapping again. See pics below most taken by the Fensport lads.
My headlights did not turn up in time so I will have to wait.

Update on the build. The car is in the bodywork garage and over the weekend there has been some great progress. The majority of the cutting has been done (everyone cringes). The arches have been fixed in place temporarily whilst making good of the bodywork is being done.

The Seibon carbon spoiler has been fitted and reinforced internally with some glav plate, this will be removed for some further paintwork (the end stabilizers haven't been fitted either yet).
The arches as you can see, fit lovely. Where they have been trimmed there has been some minor filling to smooth it all off, but apart from this they are perfect, I'm dead chuffed. A big thanks again to Nigel.
The boot lid and front bumper require patching where the OEM spoiler / plate holder sat. Then the arches, skirts, front lip, boot lid and front bumper are to be prep'd and sprayed and fitted. And also the APR Forula wing mirrors and to be done.
Waiting on the gold aluminium rivnuts to come in and then we are away.

Stripped the interior panels this weekend, ready for the hydrographics (Gold carbon weave). Fairly straight forward job, a philips and flat head did the job. The biggest pain was the two silver pieces of trim either side of the air con controls. to remove then you need to remove the whole centre console.

This morning I dropped the car off at the bodywork garage, for the wide body kit to fitted. As most of you know it's not an easy kit to fit. Cutting, welding, preparing the panels etc is required prior to fitting. The car will be in there for 2 -3 weeks, Let the transformation begin...

    Further updates soon...

So back in August I bought my 86, I always loved these cars and to own one at 21 was like a dream come true. It came with 22k on the clock, half leather interior, Cruise control, and sat nav. I absolutely loved it!

After just 2 weeks in to owning the car I visioned exactly how I wanted it to look. So firstly I ordered my air lift performance front and rear struts. These had to be ordered from America because the demand for them is so low in this country, but just a week later they arrived

I then went about ordering my management, tanks, and compressors. I went with accuairs e level management, twin 400cc viair compressors, and two 3 gallon seamless tanks. A friend of mine wanted to do something a little different with the accuair manifold, so we rewired each solenoid to remove the ugly plug stuck to the side of the manifold, and went for a fully shaved look with a custom cover. 'projekthaus' being his company name

Whilst he was cracking on with that, I wanted to change up the standard rear lights. I see a lot of people changing to the valenti tail lights, but I loved the standard ones and just wanted to change them slightly. So I got out the dremel and started to cut the lense off to paint the insides satin black. As well as that, I tinted the reverse light slightly, as the chrome look doesn't do it for me. Makes a much nicer looking rear if I do say so myself

I didn't feel like the standard wheels would do the car much justice once the bags went on, so I went out and bought these works vs-xx wheels. 18x8 fronts, and 18x9 at the rear. Once these came we were ready to start fitting the bags.

Just two days later the bags and wheels were on, and an untrimmed install was put in to attend a local meet, and I couldn't have been happier with it!

Next was the push to get the install trimmed and finished before ultimate stance, it delayed me setting off down by about 4 hours, but with it all done I wasn't complaining

And a few picture of it caught there

Then the big purchase came, my rocket bunny kit! From the word go I knew I wanted to rocket bunny it, so when I picked the kit up, with me being a painter, I got prepping straight away!

Decided to paint the skirts, front lip, and the rear diffuser first. I've decided the kit is going to be painted matte metallic black, just so it stands out that bit more.

Just before fitting it all, unfortunately someone decided to drag a key down the side of my car! I was devastated, but nothing that couldn't have been sorted I suppose.

So with it back to being good as new, we got to fitting the lip and diffuser

And here's where we're at today! Just 4 and a half months after buying it fully standard, I don't think I've been doing too bad so far

Custom exhaust will be done tomorrow, hopefully, to give it much more of an aggressive tone to it.
And now due to plans changing, my rocket bunny arches are up for sale, drop me a pm if anyone is interested

As we all know, the manufacturers published figures on fuel consumption are never achievable as they are probably based on fuelling the car with exactly one gallon and removing unnecessary weight such as seats etc. My BMW 325i had an urban figure of something like 49mpg and I managed 41.3, our Dodge Journey has an urban figure of something like 47mpg and once I managed 43.5 mpg.
According to the BRZ literature, the unachievable urban figure should be 44.1 mpg. I've just returned from a round trip on one tank of fuel (pictures below were taken after refilling). Unsurprisingly, the average mpg was on the optimistic side but based on purchasing 43.95 litres to re-fill the tank, the returned consumption was 45.43 mpg. I find this a disgusting practise from Subaru, you should not be able to buy a car from a manufacturer, fill the tank, carry a passenger and return a mpg higher than the manufacturers figure.
I'm looking into the sale of goods act.....
