I know this has been raised before, but with the amount of 86s and BRZs I see driving round my neck of the woods these days, there must be enough of us here to have a West Yorkshire/Yorkshire meet?
Have owned my black 63 plate for over a year now, and I'm itching to begin making my 86 that little bit more special - it'd be great to meet other people who are like-minded, without having to drive 200 miles down south 😂

Was great to meet a lot of you and thanks to TD for hosting a cool event. Nice to finally get my car on a dyno, even if it made quite a bit less power than predicted lol still a lot of fun to drive so its all good  not sure if you've got my mods list already Lauren but main bits are the AVO stage 4 turbo and 10:1 CR pistons 

will you still have the uel on the open day? need to have another ride in the way it should've been in the first place

Just a quick note to advise we've decided to have an unequal length version of our manifold made up to go with the turbo kit, giving people that want it the 'Scooby burble' . pricing is to be confirmed but if we can hold it as the same cost as the current kit, we will do.
 
More details to follow in the next couple of weeks once it is made and on our car.

Ive got a scorpion decat and overpipe already fitted but I'd be interested in the N1 on its own if you'll split.

Is the cobra front pipe decat or HFC?

Ive had no personal experience with them but I've heard of reis and competition car insurance which may be able to help.

Just a quick update.

Fitted a HKS panel filter yesterday and I've ordered an Invidia Q300 backbox to complement the rest of the exhaust parts that are already waiting to be fitted. I can't wait to get it all on as it's so quiet in comparison to what I'm used to with the stock system on.

So I bought the car from Tweedbean on the forum with a few mods already in place.



Lowered (roughly 50mm) on Tein Flex Z coilovers
18" Gold BBS RSII wheels. with Vredstein Sessanta tyres.
P3 Vent gauge and code reader.
Alcantara interior.
BRZ side vents.
Engine bay had been tidied and some parts painted in VHT red.
Silvertec bulbs.
Plastidipped front bumper.
Yellow fog lights.

So having had the car for a day, I had to change something to make it my own. So, I've started small and changed the rear number plate lights to LEDs as I had some spares that were the same fitment. No before picture for you but here's how it looks now.



I've got a few plans for the car so far, the first being fitting some adjustable front drop links as there aren't any on the car at the moment. I'll likely need to raise the suspension a bit too as it'll be my daily driver. Then fitting the Borla UEL and scorpion overpipe that came with it, along with a backbox which I haven't purchased yet. I'm currently considering the Cobra resonated or the Invidia N1 (I like the idea of the bungs to quieten it down every now and then) and I have a scorpion resonated decat to go on if that isn't loud enough, my Nissan 350z is pretty loud with a cobra non-res and unsilenced decats but I'd like this to be at least a little bit civilized and to pass trackday noise tests.
I also plan on having the roof wrapped black and possibly the boot to match how my previous car looked. Some buddy club rear lights could be nice too.

Then there is always some sort of turbo or supercharger to think about for in the future...

My name is Tom and I'm the new owner of Tweedbean's old car. Great to meet a few of you at Japfest 2 yesterday.
 
I've only had the Gt86 since Thursday but already put a few miles on it and gone to a meet. Got a few plans for it but that's for another thread.
 
Had a few Japanese cars in my time, started out with an Impreza sport special before moving up to a Nissan 350z which I have had for the last 4 years. In between I've also had a track mk1 MX5 and an S2000 with Greddy turbo which was unfortunately written off in March by an insured car whilst parked. I've always liked the sound of the GT86 as it is the car I wanted when I had the Impreza, a coupe shape but with a flat 4 engine. I hope to get out to a few events and track days in the future.
