Whilst I may end up changing the head unit in time, for now I just wanted to be able to get Radio 6 - so I bought one of these as a quick fix.

    http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/dab-car-stereos/sonichi-s100-digital-radio-adaptor

Wasn't expecting much, but actually works very well in the 86 as it powers from fag lighter and tucks into the centre console box, with only a wire to hide to the aux input.

Best bit is the aerial - got a magnetic fit external aerial from the same source and fitted it upside down inside the boot from the underside of the parcel shelf so you can't see it. Reception is terrific.

So worth a try for a easily removable and invisible solution.

Well I was intending to go out yesterday in my Tiger Supercat kit car for the last blat of the year with mates. but after filling up and finding a issue with fuel coming out of the return on the tank I had to take the 86 out.

Still a great day and lots of fun around Somerset to Haynes motor museum. Ended up close mates taking a Lotus 111S, A Tiger Cat and MK Indy R and of course the 86

HAHA good thread. Had no issues with my lights fogging up until the last week after the chap who needed to remove my right light to remove a dent from that side and since it's fogged up.
I thought something was not right and could not the the issues other said about as it was only a week ago the light was out.

Will be removing the light, drying it out and putting back on but not tightening the bolts right up as must be the case

Are you ever in the Midlands? Dentcraft in Sheldon would solve this for you for sure.
Most well trained PDR guys can sort it.  Your local dealer should be very familiar with them.

Well after the Horror of road debris hitting the bonnet and smashing against my windscreen and then denting rear of our 86 I had Steve from Dentpusher  https://www.facebook.com/Dentpusher  & http://www.dentpusher.co.uk/ come around this afternoon.
I had a few door dings on both sides of my car. It seems to be a magnet for idiots plus these new dents and this is the first time i've ever used anyone like this and am amazed at just how bloody well he did in removing the dents. Car looks 100% now.
I was only recommended him via Pistonheads and glad i did give him a call
He covers most of the South west> i was very happy with his price for the work he did. Arrived on time and only wanted 1 cup of tea after being asked lol

So if you need anyone like this then he gets my recommendation

I know there's a few people on here that are having battery problems and batteries going flat after a few days of no use.
I recently started getting the problem and took it to my dealer. They carried out a test and installed a new battery free of charge.    Mileage isn't an issue. They just do a test, if the battery doesn't hold the correct amps/second then they replace it.    Even better is they're now fitting 65ah batteries.  So if you've got audio equipment or more drain than usual. Go to the dealer. Free 65ah battery!    My dealer said anyone with a complaint about the battery will probably just get one because they've had a lot of complaints and Toyota now state the GT86 should have a 65ah battery.    Fixed all my problems. Left it a week and start perfectly!

Well I downloaded the demo a few days ago and had a blast last night.

Well what a good choice of 5 car from a S2000, RX7, a few others and of course a GT86 which I had to have in orange.

The demo gives you 3 races and 1 invitational doing indy car racing at a oval.

The handling is great, graphics amazing and the last race is in the wet and my god it's fun. hitting a pool or water makes you aquaplane which is interesting but also makes you do different lines to get around them.

A bloody good demo and hoping the game will be as good when it's out on the 15th.

No problem, it will fit in an envelope so I might just stamp it and send it in the post that way? Will easily fit through your letter box

RE turbo kit. Turbo is all plumbed in and running. A revised basemap was sent over from John V after getting a fault code on the first map. Uploaded it and all appears fine for the moment with no faults.

Sent over some idle and cruise logs for him to check first before I get the all clear to drive normally again, and then it will be a case of saving a few pennies to pay for some proper custom mapping to be done by either him or Adrian

I wanted to service the 86 myself (Well my BIL who's a Ex Toyota Mechanic and also my bets mate) who I trust implicitly.

So I had the Motul 8100 0w20 oil. HKS Super hybrid filter, OE oil filter. And also had Evans prep fluid and waterless coolant that went in.

Took  few hours as the prep fluid needed to go in. warm up and air taken out. then cooled down and all done again with the waterless coolant.

Well after all was done and the Avo Exhaust was added a week ago I will say it seems to rev a little more freely now.

Next mod or change I want is saving up for some Works Emotion wheels in white

The one thing I will say is that I'm amazed at the amount of scale that came out of the coolant prep fluid you can re-use. Bare in mind We had drained the original coolant fluid and I did not filter this. In the pics are filter I have to filter the prep fluid. More scale in the engine that in my 5 year old engine in my kit car when I changed to waterless coolant then.
Anyone else changed the coolant and found similar ?

    cheers for reading

In short I went touring a few countries, around 1670 miles in total in 6 days.

We left to get a night ferry from Portsmouth to Caen Sunday night. Fresh to take on France on the Monday.

All we had planned was head towards Switzerland but only if the weather was good. otherwise head toward to sunnier weather.

No Hotels pre booked or return ferry. And as always works out great.

Car's that went was our GT 86, my Mates Lotus S2, A Porsche 964 Carrera and Another's Brand new (50 miles on the clock) Morgan Plus 4. which did not like being run in at over 100MPH with less than 150 miles on the clock and thus flashed a few warning lights. that after they got ignored went away thankfully.
