its an easy 5 minute job and full instructions can be found in the hand book

Lmc reacted to Lauren in Catback exhaust
AFAIK you don't need a 3" exhaust unless you are going for big power which would include a bottom end rebuild. 3" will just be louder, shouldn't affect power though it won't increase it over a 2.5" on an NA.

The single traffic policeman in Devon must be busy chasing caravans. I've heard of quite a few people getting ordered to replace their plate in the greater London area and other busier parts of the country.
I like your choice of wheel!

Lmc reacted to mattt in Head unit replacement
Welcome to see the Toyota specific android headunit in mine since you're local. I think Kenwood do a 200mm wide unit but I forget the name of it.

Lmc reacted to mattt in Tuning Developments NA Package - another review
A fortnight ago I took my car to Mike at Tuning Developments to work his magic. I opted for the UEL manifold as I wanted that characteristic burble to the exhaust note. Mike also persuaded me to have uprated shifter springs fitted.
Firstly I want to say how friendly and knowledgeable Mike was. I've never had a car tuned on a rolling road before, and Mike put me at ease and answered all my questions.
Two weeks in and I can say that I'm really pleased with the better midrange torque the GT86 now has. Combined with the more positive gear change, the car is an absolute joy to drive.
In terms of acoustics, I haven't changed anything else so have the factory second cat and catback exhaust. It's only marginally louder and not intrusive at motorway speeds. If anything it's making me reconsider whether I would actually want a louder exhaust as that boxer burble is so wonderful!
One very minor side effect to mention is that there is a very small increase in NVH into the cabin, which I suspect is from the unequal exhaust pulses.
Another thing to note for anyone who would like to use this as a first step towards a turbo in the future, Mike explained to me it wouldn't be possible to keep the second cat if turbocharging. Come MOT time one would have to swap a cat back in. For my personal circumstances and preferences, this rules out a turbo for me as I don't have the time or facility to change a cat in and out.
Overall I am happy to recommend this tuning package. It's great value for money and well worth the trip!

Lmc reacted to Minion in Titanium exhaust
Looks a lovely bit of kit! But it's the first I've seen of it so not sure about sounds clips
In regards to having with a turbo depending on what sort of power your wanting to run and if you have a screamer or not. If you want to run 330-400 you ideally need a 3" for the flow but if you have a screamer (which the td kit does) 2.5" is fine. If your gonna be happy with somewhere around the 280bhp mark it will be fine regardless of the screamer -
Lmc reacted to KelvBRZ in Kelvin's Red BRZ Build
After doing a few modifications to my Subaru BRZ, I thought I'd create a build thread for anyone interested in seeing the progress and to keep a personal account for myself. I also have instagram if anyone wishes to follow me on that @KelvBRZ
On the 18th of August 2017 I ended up buying my current Subaru BRZ which had 7,500 miles and is a 2012 registered car, I came from a 2004 Honda S2000 GT and surprisingly there wasn't a massive difference between the two cars apart from the obvious VTEC and the slightly better handling from the S2000.
Picture of my old Honda S2000:
First picture I got of the Subaru BRZ:
The car was kept standard over winter as it was garaged which gave me time to accumulate mods:
Work Emotion D9R's with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres KW V3 Coilovers Eibach Camber Bolts Eibach Lower Control Arms Eibach Toe Arms
All parts were then fitted by a friend of mine and the wheels were test fitted before my alignment:
I then headed up to Automek in East Kilbride to get my alignment done:
After the alignment I ordered my exhaust setup (Cobra Non Resonated Cat Back, Overpipe and Decat):
How the car looks at the 1st of June 2018 (time creating this thread):
