Mine was bought as a daily but now it sits on the drive looking pretty all day because the drive is the closest free parking space to my current work. I miss the daily drive home through country lanes and wide open roundabouts but the money saved on commuting pays for the 3-4 trackdays a year I try to do. Car is coming up to 4 years old this summer, yes I could trade it in for something more weekend focused or cheaper to sit on the drive, but it does everything I want it to do and I love the feeling of rolling it off the drive when I get a chance to, knowing I'm going to enjoy the driving.

13 year car history:
Nissan Almera - Mk2 (Was supposed to be a Mk3 Mondeo but after going to view 3 they were sold the next time I went to go put a deposit down, so had to take the next best thing on the forecourt due to work. Again only planned to be a first car... had it for 5 years and would have kept it if I had the drive space) GT86 - Current and no plans to change 

Don't think I've ever been out in your car on the road, but on track the new H&S kit pre-resonator was a lot more comfortable than the Cosworth catback but still suited the car very well. I know exactly what you mean with the drone at 3k WOT as it can be an issue when using cruise on a motorway... I think going 1.3 might make this worse 

The Aero kit was a €1600 painted option on cars in the EU excluding the wheels, in the UK including wheels it was £2600 fitted to the car.

Add a parent with no accidents to the policy as a named driver (not you as the named driver) even if they have no intention of driving the car. Might cut some of the risk and drop the quote price for comparison sites.

It's a shame the sprint wasn't run today. I've only just left Anglesey (still in Wales though, stopped for some food on the A5). Absolutely stunning weather, sunshine, clear skies. Was hoping the day would clear up a bit so I could go to the spot on the circuit where you get a fantastic view of the track with cars going over the hill, with water in the background and a view of Snowdonia in the distance. Unfortunately it's just water merged into cloud for those who thankfully went out for run 7 
Just like Woodbridge, sunburned and soaked on the same day, even with waterproofs and sun cream.
 

A kingsize duvet packed against the parcel shelf/back seat held in with a suitcase makes a huge difference to the amount of noise transmitted. Very comfortable.

You're 4dB louder due to having the supercharger, I recommend ditching that and selling it on cheap to another 1.1 owner 
I'm looking into possibly adding some soundproofing around the back seats/boot as the car is great when the boot is full, but with an empty load it does feel loud. Off throttle on a cool down lap on track has a really bad drone!

Will keep that in mind for next July, 370 miles clocked for an oil change and a bit of fun on some northern roads but the standard of service is much better than my local dealers. Was good to catch up, car feels better prepared for tracktime tomorrow.

I bought a G27 to fix the driving itch before getting the GT86... used it once then had to move and not had the space for a setup since. Chairs on wheels are no good for steering wheel setups. Now I have a rift I really want to try project cars.

Got there eventually, didn't want to risk the m25 on a Friday evening... but the country road I was on contained an upside down car which added a 20min diversion. Standard of food was good considering it's a large chain. Photos because I got told off last time I didn't bring a camera to a meet:
