Steeps got a reaction from Deacon in Post your GT86 / BRZ pic of day!
Drove past this location on the way to a meet (advantage of taking B roads everywhere), decided on the way back I would stop and take a photo. Lighting was spot on. Need to do something similar again with the new alloys when it's clean.

Steeps got a reaction from GT86Bob in CROFT 2017
Was a very good day, considering the risk of rain all weekend it was good to see a drying track. Javelin once again on the ball, I nearly got caught out crossing the track between runs as they were firing them out of the start gate much earlier between rounds than at Blyton. It's a shame the Fensport crew couldn't be there but it was a well deserved win for Phil.
All photos can be seen at http://sprintseries.dansteeples.co.uk , weather a lot better than round 5 last year (not too bright).

Steeps got a reaction from rob275 in Renewal Time
Tried to quote through CKI, I got offered a competitive price but only if I could prove the quote and only before cashback. £300 if I could show another insurer was offering that level otherwise they would only match my £400 renewal. Aviva as a returning customer wanted £420 but would drop it down to £400 to be nice, however if I signed up as a new customer (identical details, the only difference being an email address) it would drop to £350 and a further £60 back in cashback (hence why I wanted CKI to quote £300).
Looks like I'll be moving to Sheilas Wheels, £270 after cashback for a modified boy racer car, and my handbag is covered too!

Are those blue fenders the same ones you bought from another member for £20+postage?

Steeps got a reaction from TTR in TTR's San Remo BRZ
Any chance we can break off the TSS talk into a new thread (cut the posts into it) as I'm seeing this getting a lot of posts thinking TTR has finally sold his BRZ for a Ford

Steeps got a reaction from Mike@TD.co.uk in Open Day Spring 2017 @ Tuning Developments 16/04
Just found out I have a meeting "North" on the Sat so I'll probably pop in on my way back on the Sun. Nowhere near my route but as I'm already out driving why not

Steeps got a reaction from Stutopia in Wish I Was More Popular With Birds
It's bad because I have to wash the whole car and not the little bits of crap, otherwise I'd end up with clean spots on the car

Steeps got a reaction from GT86Bob in TSS Round 1 Blyton Park Sunday 2nd April
Photos are currently uploading. Changed hosting over the winter for the files (yay Microsoft Cloud!)... which isn't compatible with the auto download system I had on the site so once again having to manually email links out. Would have been up yesterday but having to strip the kitchen out at home due to building works.

Steeps got a reaction from Tim86 in FI tuning on AT, questions.
Wouldn't want to be putting more than 280bhp at the crank through the autobox, it's made of cheese. The Cosworth kit mapped to 2.3 is what they have tested is safe for the engine without it becoming a lottery on the rods, the gearbox will not handle any more power. Speak to Fensport about the autobox because they have a lot of experience trying to put power through it for one customer with the Avo turbo kit.

Might be worth having a read of this:
For road use you're probably fine putting the power through it, but going near track it's going to cook the box.

Steeps got a reaction from Nicebiscuit in In Viz today...
Should have bought a new one to take full advantage of the Toyota 5 year warranty, then the sales person could sell you "tyre insurance" to go with alloy/smart/paint/gap/breakdown/payment/dragon/volcano insurance options that triple the monthly PCP payment when doing 3,000 miles a year.
