LFA got a reaction from Special K in Not sure if serious
I suspect this is nothing more than a local marketing exercise, if that. I can't see Subaru doing this sort of development in Europe.
Twin turbo H6; now that would be something.
The 6 cylinder boxer engine is a great motor though.

Looks terrific. I'm mad for 70s Porsche viper green....It'll only be a matter of time....(oh and money).

LFA got a reaction from Keethos in ICE Challenge
I have a Pioneer AVH8400BT which I installed in my BRZ which, frankly speaking , is turning out to be....... not meet my requirements.
Anyway I'd like to change it, so here are my needs;
I'd like much better sound quality than stock ( and the Pioneer )
I'd like a simpler interface
I'd like it to weigh less than the stock headunit/speakers ( by 'it' I mean the whole ICE; any headunit, amp and speakers.) I have a weight for the original brz dino unit.
I'd like it to be single din ideally
It should support my Apple Iphone 6 as prime source, ideally wired, plus BT, without any hassle.
No need for any native Nav, DVD etc
In scope; changes to headunit, speakers, added amp, wiring
Key stuff; less weight, sound quality
Fairplay; £250 to Keethos repair fund for the best proposal.

LFA got a reaction from ShinyBRZ in GT 86 Brake Bias.
I don't think the stock car is under braked, either from a feel or endurance perspective, ( where as for example the R35 GTRs brakes were IMHO marginal, suffering significant fade and durability issues on the drilled disks. )
That said, you can reach the limits of the 86RZ brakes on track.
If you want feel, then lines and pads will deliver. If you want endurance, almost exclusively a tracking concern for this car, then you need a disk specification that cools well ( not just about disk diameter or really drilled vs j hook vs whatever) and a pad that will take the heat.

Keith, I'll be playing hard later in the year.
Perhaps we can visit the other nearby circuit too

We are aiming for more power but in equal measure it is about making safe power , given what I do with the car.

LFA reacted to LFA in which supercharger?
I'd have to agree on Lit's customer service........
As for his SC; development wasn't all smooth sailing with repeated belt issues and, I heard, tuning considerations, late in the programme.
Has he sold the car or is he building the engine? I'd be surprised if he has binned all that development work on the SC.
Abbey have my business now and as SpecK has said we are building a motor, lower compression, Sprintex 210 SC, with other changes to focus on track day use.

Don't believe any of the slow in, fast out shite; in this car it is as fast as you can in , and through, lol
Lauren right on a bit of tuition!

Yep, going with Abbey and the Sprintex supercharger.
East London / Essex is the FI epicenter, lol.
Quite fancy a Spa/Zolder combo but I'd like to do some UK track time with the upgraded car first.
Looking to start at Silverstone with Abbey , early March, if not before.
