MartinT got a reaction from GT86Bob in Tyre Pressure Sensors / valves (?)
Are they really programmed to each wheel position? How would tyre rotation work?

MartinT got a reaction from Samwise in Bringing an 86 back from the dead
That's one hell of an accomplishment. Well done!

MartinT got a reaction from spikyone in An interesting noise
They usually loosen the bolts holding the mid-pipe bracket in place to install a new exhaust. Worth checking, mine were loose and it sounded like a can rattling under there.

MartinT got a reaction from Lowe in Lowe's Team Grey
A good tune works wonders with a decent manifold, doesn't it? Touring Belgium at the moment, I know what you mean about loudness. Mine sounds great on country roads, is very quiet at speed on motorways but I feel a little guilty around town at times.
Also, it might be just mine but I'm sure it gets louder after a long hot run.

MartinT got a reaction from Angelina in Reliability putting me off the 86.
I came from a Honda. Both it and the Subaru are well put together cars. After four BMWs of questionable reliability, I'm not looking back.

No, just the MTech springs. Overall, it's an improvement I'd say.

I borrowed the TD Yaris and drove there. I had a few hours to burn!

MartinT got a reaction from Tristor in Branka: Country Road Specialist ('17 BRZ)
Welcome! Your white BRZ looks just like mine - same model year. I love your attention to detail, too. Nice work so far.
My sister lives west of Houston (Richmond) and I know those back roads a little, especially the drive to Brazos Bend State Park to see the alligators. Unfortunately, it's always been in rentals. Oh well!

MartinT got a reaction from mattt in Speakers
This response from PattersonLaw sums up the many 'opinions' out there:
- Are you allowed to drive in the UK whilst listening to music via a pair of headphones?
- Yes as long as there can be no suggestion that you are not in proper control of the vehicle or driving without due care and attention.
The crucial thing is whether you are excluding any chance of hearing external sounds. If you are, then you are driving without due care and attention.

Hi Tamas and welcome to the forum. I used to live in Finchampstead just down the road from you.

MartinT got a reaction from Dicks86 in Seat Recommendations
The stock seats in my 2017 BRZ are superb - supportive and comfortable. I've no idea whether different models, Toyota/Subaru or model years have seen the seats change in design.

MartinT got a reaction from S18 RSG in S18 RSG - The German Invasion
Interesting. I had a remapped and DPF-deleted BMW 335d M-Sport Coupe which was a tyre-shredder with 374bhp and 720nm (yes, really) torque. Even the 265s on the rears didn't last long. it was a rocketship in a straight line but was far too heavy to throw around. Great for motorway overtaking but little else. Now that I have the BRZ, I really don't miss it at all.

Thanks, all. Time to book, looks like I'll hit 12 months and 10k at around the same time.
