    Where is Administration gt86.org.uk?

Mod approval of new accounts works well for me on my hi-fi forum. We use IP and spam checks on the e-mail address given before we let members in. Very rarely do we then get a spam post but it's an instant ban if they do.

We're deleting spam ads all the time, but they do appear on the forum before one of us spots it. It helps when members report spam, of course.

    TPMS???

It's possible for the car to forget the TPMS sensor codes that were programmed in. I don't have the stock wheels or sensors any more. My new sensors work fine and there is no warning light. A good tyre place like ProTyre can help with TPMS issues.

    Worst Car Ever Driven

Maybe not the worst car ever, but I have a courtesy car for a couple of days, a BMW 118i new series. It looks blingy, it's too quiet, it has one cylinder short of a proper engine, it's front wheel drive, the suspension gives you no feeling of the road, the steering wheel appears to be disconnected from any wheels, the gearbox is a pudding stirrer, and the handbrake is a bloody switch. Did I mention that it's awful? I think my sofa gives me more driving fun than this.

    MartinT's BRZ

I'll start this thread here and recap. White 2017 BRZ bought as a dealer demo with only 2000 miles on the clock. I love the purity of the design, all based around driver enjoyment and a few creature comforts but no additional thrills. Nice engine, great chassis, comfortable seats, crap radio. As I said, it's all about the driving. Mods to date: TD UEL NA package, TD full catback exhaust with Super Resonator. I have left the 2nd cat in place to remain vaguely legal. TD inlet pipe, HKS inlet duct, sound delete. Rota Blitz 17x8 ET35 wheels with 225/45 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and replacement TPMS sensors. H&R Super Sport springs with about 33mm lowering.

I guess there's a balance between clutch feel and clamping force. It's my daily driver so I don't want a heavy clutch. I'm also easy on my clutches, I never dump them, I try not to slip excessively and I don't track the car.

I'll double-check with Scott at Abbey. Mine peaks at 282nm which pushes it for the Exedy Stage 1. I've been quoted £750 all-in. Gearbox out, it's a 4 hour job.

    servicing

Abbey Motorsport for all my services now. They use 5W-30 in mine as it's the correct spec for supercharger engines.

Good question. About 2 years NA 30k miles, one year boosted 20k miles. No, I'm leaving the flywheel alone. Sent from my LG-G7 using Tapatalk

All booked for 17 March. Going to have to drive gently until then. I'll let you know how it feels once done.

My clutch has started slipping - it happens when I'm applying the beans at maximum torque and resistance, so 3500rpm in 6th. I've had Abbey Motorsport quote me for a Stage 1 Exedy clutch installation. Just have to sort out a date. Is anyone here using an Exedy clutch?

    Sainsbury’s fuel

Nothing to do with placebo, which requires an expectation of outcome.

    Sainsbury’s fuel

I notice the difference between super unleaded fuels quite a lot, never mind standard stuff. Even V-Power varies by batch a little, sometimes being silky smooth while other times being just a little off. BP is smooth but doesn't have quite the grunt and Sainsburys Super lacks smoothness and is considerably down on pickup, having a distinct lag in its response.

The Eibachs in the B12 kit should be good, I've used them before and not dissimilar to the H&Rs. Roadholding really is tremendous! Sent from my LG-G7 using Tapatalk

    MartinT's BRZ

The Bilstein B8 dampers were installed today, to accompany my existing H&R Super Sport springs. If you wanted to do the whole shebang, you could buy the Bilstein B12 kit, which consists of B8s with Eibach lowering springs. At the same time, lower arm Superpro poly bushes front and rear were installed, as well as Superpro lower control arms, adjustable toe controls and Whiteline anti-roll bar drop links front and rear. It also got a full laser alignment. By the way, I ordered the Bilsteins last October and they only just arrived this week. Be prepared for a long wait. Abbey did the usual superb job and threw two technicians at it, so it was all completed by early afternoon. Ride quality is firm but fluid. You certainly know that you're no longer on stock dampers, but at the same time it remains supple and always in control. There is no bounce, especially over large undulations. There is certainly no crashing or harshness. It's just firm. But that leads to... Roadholding. Goodness me, this is different! In the damp conditions driving home, and off motorway as much as I could, the level of grip and control around bends and coming off corners and roundabouts is on a different planet. Being able to put down a goodly amount of supercharger power and not have it scrabbling for grip is amazing. No, I didn't sneak a set of 255s on the wheels, they're still 235 PS4s. However, I am not used to being able to give it so much pedal so early coming off a corner. It really is a new kind of fun. Was it worth it? I think so, as the investment in a good boosted setup is wasted if you don't pay as much attention to the chassis, and stopping, as it needs.

    Waze and starlink

UK Wazers contribute a lot of warnings and information (and I try to give back when I can). Waze is built on Google Maps but is better in every way.

    Fensport vs Tuning Developments

    Hah - I don't make exaggerated claims for mine. It's a well-sorted 300bhp car, for road use. That's all 😀

My Harrop achieved 262whp which they said translates to "over 300" bhp. This is with the Rogue EL manifold. Sent from my LG-G7 using Tapatalk

    Fensport vs Tuning Developments

The only thing I will say is that the Edelbrock develops a lot less power and torque than my Harrop. However, the comments about road drivability are spot on.
