Cerastes 204 Report post Posted March 21, 2017 @jevvy thanks I would be interested. Not sure if carbon would look ok with the other OEM plastic there.

vanko25 70 Report post Posted March 23, 2017 I received the aluminum covers for the air vents and the AC knobs too. Very good fit and easy to install. I have seen them on ft86speedfactory first but found them much cheaper on aliexpress. Gives the interior a bit of color IMO. 1 Tim86 reacted to this
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted March 23, 2017 Are they real TRD though? And do they end up not being lined up when you turn them? 25.5C is a bit warm for me.
vanko25 70 Report post Posted March 23, 2017 99% sure that TRD never did something like that. If you adjust temp, fan speed they want be lined up of course. I left it at 25.5 and haven't touched them all winter (I am a cold soul)

vanko25 70 Report post Posted March 23, 2017 There are holes on the stock bumper already. It is pretty much bolt on job if that carbon one is using the same layout as the OEM diffuser.
Cerastes 204 Report post Posted March 23, 2017 The one on taobao looks slightly better condition than the aliexxpress ? although that is just pictures and not sure which ones works out cheapest. Aliexpress seems to be easier to order too?

Aliexpress seems to be easier to order too? aliexpresss is a good 40$ cheaper and 99.9% likely hood its completely the same item from the same factory and seller tbh

So 3-4 days but they are small items and probably in stock. I don't mind waiting longer for an item if it's cheaper. 4 days is still very good. Of course @vanko25 could have paid more for a quicker delivery option?
vanko25 70 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 It took then 11 week days. Ordered on thr 11th abd they came on the 22nd. Paid 16 quid all together for everything.
Lowe 191 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 Blimey, just been looking through this and Ali Express and there's some cracking bargains - especially so as Ali Express is about to have a huge sale by the look of it. I'm considering picking up one of these as a start, can't really have too much go wrong with that surely? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Silicone-Induction-Hose-Kit-For-TOYOTA-GT86-Scion-FRS-BRZ-12-15/32794047559.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.247.S65CoU&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10065_10130_10068_433_434_10136_10137_10138_10060_10062_10141_10056_10055_10054_10059_10531_10099_10530_10103_10102_10096_10052_10144_10053_10050_10107_10142_10051_10106_10143_10526_10529_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10110_10111_10112_10113_10114_130_10078_10079_10073_10070_10122_10123_10124-10531_10102,searchweb201603_9,afswitch_1,ppcSwitch_5,single_sort_0_default&btsid=3c4085cf-5b08-4a9e-b5a8-15472cd82872&algo_expid=30a32244-d57d-4b1f-82fe-1cea5da29146-30&algo_pvid=30a32244-d57d-4b1f-82fe-1cea5da29146
Paul 442 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 Cosmetic stuff? Sure. Engine mods.....nope. 1 Lowe reacted to this
vanko25 70 Report post Posted March 24, 2017 @Lowe as Paul said don't go for anything engine related form AliExpress. Don't really want to risk it. If you take a look this ali express one is only 3 ply weather a Mishimoto is 5 ply and got rings inside to insure it wont squzee from the vacuum. Better off buy one from somewhere in the UK. 1 Lowe reacted to this

Quick question before I give them a quick pull and possibly break them, how did you remove the oem dials? I got the silver ones and without writing as the writing being upside down would drive me crazy. I ordered a few other items too, the last of them arrived today; the most expensive and probably what I actually wanted; a diffuser. Pictures soon or you can check my build thread. Please note I ordered mine through aliexpress.
vanko25 70 Report post Posted April 19, 2017 @Cerastes I haven't removed anything. I just used double-sided tape to fix the new knobs on top of the oem dials.

Tim86 24 Report post Posted April 26, 2017 Here's what i've managed so far off taobao: Gauge cluster rings, AC knobs, Steering wheel badge, real carbon fiber flappy paddle extensions. Most definitely adds a touch of class. AT trans knob is next, any recommendations?
