Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 I've just been looking up Premier Inn's and they are very expensive. We could book a cottage where a number of us share, there are plenty of options, but they don't generally do one night, so we'd need to book for a weekend. Otherwise it's hotels, cheapest B&B around £55 for the Saturday night. Here's what I threw up on Booking.com: http://www.booking.com/searchresults.en-gb.html?src=index&ssafas=1&nflt=&error_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.booking.com%2Findex.en-gb.html%3Flabel%3Dgen173nr-1DCAEoggJCAlhYSDNiBW5vcmVmaFCIAQGYAS64AQfIAQ3YAQPoAQGoAgM%3Bsid%3Dd7aaf2d7bb66c3b072bb76e64b5ec83f%3Bdcid%3D12%3Bbb_ltbi%3D0%3Bsb_price_type%3Dtotal%26%3B&dcid=12&label=gen173nr-1DCAEoggJCAlhYSDNiBW5vcmVmaFCIAQGYAS64AQfIAQ3YAQPoAQGoAgM&lang=en-gb&sid=d7aaf2d7bb66c3b072bb76e64b5ec83f&si=ai%2Cco%2Cci%2Cre%2Cdi&ss=Rhosneigr%2C+Gwynedd%2C+United+Kingdom&checkin_monthday=20&checkin_year_month=2016-8&checkout_monthday=21&checkout_year_month=2016-8&sb_travel_purpose=business&room1=A%2CA&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2&group_children=0&genius_rate=1&ss_raw=anglesey+rhos&ac_position=0&ac_langcode=en&suggested_term=%5Bobject+Object%5D&suggestion_clicked=1&dest_id=-2606207&dest_type=city&ac_pageview_id=684e475ef4be0213&ac_suggestion_list_length=5&ac_suggestion_theme_list_length=0 Obviously it's going to be bang in the holiday season, so we need to make a decision on this one sooner rather than later I think! 1 Rich reacted to this
Keethos 842 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 How much would the cottage be and when you say the whole weekend, we talking Friday to Sunday? There's some nice roads out there so pop up Friday night, day out on the roads Saturday and then sprint on the Sunday?
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 It's normally Friday to Monday morning, going on previous experience. So you get three nights. Does require a group of you though to commit. Yes, could be good, I agree. I used to do it a lot in the old days when we did trackdays at Angers a lot.

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 I've had a look and a lot seem to be already booked up as it's mid summer, so the date is a bit of an issue. We used to book cottages in spring/autumn, no problem.
KevinA 695 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 Quite a few local hotels for 70 to 80 quid, but they will fill up quickly I suspect.
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 Yep other option is to all book the same hotel.
Mike 458 Report post Posted February 22, 2016 Would be fine with a cottage/lodge/whatever with a few of us sharing like at Cadwell Should have realised it'd be difficult to stay for Anglesey as there's not exactly a lot around there and we're limited in what direction we can stay further out, unless anyone fancies sleeping on a boat? Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 23, 2016 Just be careful as I'm sure I stayed in a place called the Bull Hotel before, but it was many, many years ago and it was shocking. I can't be absolutely sure it's the same one. Is it really £75 between 16? Sounds wrong to me. Surely it's £75 a night? Edit, I'm pretty sure this is the place I stayed in about 15 years ago. We did a block booking for IMOC and it was back in the early days of going to Angers on the old (RIP) track. This place was something like £20 or £30 for room. There was a howling gale which rattlled the windows and whistled all night. Was one of the worst places I've ever stayed. Maybe it's changed?
rob275 1817 Report post Posted February 23, 2016 By the sounds of it, the windows had their innings 15 years ago. I'd wager they've been replaced with some double glazing
chillismoke 182 Report post Posted February 23, 2016 It's £85 per night to rent the whole thing out regardless of numbers 1-16+

chillismoke 182 Report post Posted February 23, 2016 For that price it would be rude not to stay for the Saturday Night as well really
Mike 458 Report post Posted February 23, 2016 Looks fine to me, even if we don't get 16, still going to be cheap 1 chillismoke reacted to this
Steeps 294 Report post Posted February 23, 2016 If I'm along for the ride I'd like a room, stayed in far worse with work (and on TSS when no premierinn was available), could possibly make a weekend of it too. 1 chillismoke reacted to this

Rich 378 Report post Posted February 23, 2016 Seems too good to be true. Surely they have just put the rate in incorrectly and it's actually £75 per person?
