How come you went for those anyway @SL03JOE?

Don't pay extra money just for a brand name, cheaper to buy, very good reviews online and from friends. Plus tread patten looks cool to!

Why a trackday tyre though? Thought this was more of a posers car? :P

Will be until I got the LS6 later on in the year.

A lot people think oo rocket bunny must be a show pony, max camber car.

Where it isn't at all it's just people stereotyping as per usual in the car scene. Which is the main reason I left the vag scene, spend 25k making their car faster but then fit cheap replica wheels or cheap eBay parts.

Sorry not meant to be a rant, but sick of people just thinking because I'm doing wide body that it's just going to be a show car.

I didn't think it looked show pony.

The wheels look like they fit on this one. Reminds me more of seventies race cars. Porsche 935s and the like...

Not that there's anything wrong with the slammed and cambered thing - but not what I'd choose...

No offence meant buddy, just RB kits are typically show cars

If you've got plans for power, then fair play! V8 is the way forward ;)

Real shame you have to put the number plate back on. Don't these cars look great without it?

I won't be, ran no front plate for about 2 years on my golf

Wish you were still allowed to fit the number on mesh over the grille like they could in the 60s. That'd look good

that would block airflow into the radiator, wouldn't advise doing that as temps can get hot enough as it is

Like this... The letters were mounted on black mesh... of course - only works for the old black background plates (which we should have kept too! So much cooler...)

Most car designs are compromised by having to have stupid great yellow and white rectangles stuck on either end...

I think he means painting the registration on the grille

ah ok, that definitely wouldn't be legal as it has to be on a reflective background but then again I'm not one to be following the numberplate laws with mine in my window :D

Same. Had no front plate on a fair few cars and only ever got mentioned once by a traffic cop attending a static meet

Just always keep it in the car in case you get a proper jobsworth copper

Wait, pretty much every modified competition 86 wears RB arches... GReddy, Mackin Industries, Dai, Frederick Aasbo, Ryan Teureck, Timmy, HGK Motorsport, Drift Works, Mr Erlandson, Element  tuning etc.

 definitely not a show car mate.
