Kodename47 446 Report post Posted May 24, 2014 Spigot rings are so that the center bore is correct for the car. Most wheels come with these so that they fit various makes and models.
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted May 24, 2014 When it comes to tyres only buy premium brands, it's the only contact with the road you have after all. I wouldn't touch Nankangs with a bargepole. I'm happy to be proved otherwise but until I've tried a set of Nankangs and found them to be good, I wouldn't consider them. For tyres you want: Goodyear Assymmetric (I think the sidewalls tend to be soft on Goodyears though) Contisport Contacts. 5 are the newest ones. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup et al. Bridgestones (various options), but at least Turanza. Yokohama Advans V103,V105 or S Drives etc. Yokos tend to be stiffer on the sidewalls which I prefer. If you have to go budget, then Toyo Proxes. Though I reckon the sidewalls are too soft. You need to know the width and offset (and weight would be nice) of the wheels.

However I probably wouldn't use the NS2 on the road.
tegunulgener 84 Report post Posted May 25, 2014 ok found my alloys. i would like to buy tyres fitted from the company. there are some options however GY F1 is not in. So far I can get these: PIRELLI PZERO NERO (most expensive) CONTINENTAL SPORT CONTACT 2 YOKOHAMA PARADA SPEC2 (PA01) YOKOHAMA S.DRIVE (AS01) FALKEN ZE914 (least expensive and top seller) and some more tyres like nankang, achilles, kumho etc... I am extremely confused. on forums contis are better, on tyre review web falkens. Even though, pirellis has very bad points. what is going on? unfortunately they dont do contis sport contact 5... i personally not after yokohamas as they are mostly for track use (afaik) in this case my options are; Falken ZE914 and Continental Sport Contact 2 (because I have no idea about the most expensive option of Pirelli's) So any experiences on here? Avoid Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, they are really track oriented and you won't get much mileage from them in my experience - go for Pilot Super Sports or Pilot Sport 3s from Michelin

That doesn't sound very good, you shouldn't be hitting them with a car at stock height.
tegunulgener 84 Report post Posted June 9, 2014 im not hitting them because i am doing under 20 lol i live in a road with 20 speed limit. full of speed bumps. i just pass them with 17. if it is 23 it hits. very high bumps tho... apart from that, work place has strange pavement which hits from front but not from back... anyway, i might be thinking about lowering the car but later on. it is too much for now. i guess all i need is eibach springs, isn't it? i dont want to buy shock absorbers tho... tegunulgener 84 Report post Posted June 10, 2014 Hahahaha.... You Keith! So Lauren, I should lower it as well? BTW garage told me that I need brake pads soon. Any suggestions? I prefer non-noisy ones if there is any. Other than that I have to admit, Goodyear F1s are not as good as stock Michelin's. On the high speed run I can feel the car is going everywhere. And it is dry also. Or do I need to change something with geometry after 18" upgrade?
