    Just bought my first 86.

Welcome buddy. There is a plethora of information on here about the twins, plus a bunch of good & helpful people! Your in a good place with a great car.
  2. I opted for Tein as reviews were all pretty positive and they have been about for a long time. I also liked the option to adjust the stiffness which was ultimately why I went for the Flex A’s. With my tyre/wheel set up, I didn’t have to modify the rears at all, they fit just fine. Are you planning on fitting yourself?
  3. Hey bud, I’m not that clued up anymore regarding the flush fitment your searching for, I had researched loads before I got my wheels but I can’t remember my findings! (I ended up with a set of 18x17.5 ET40 Rays Gram lights second hand from another member) Not a flush fit, but not far off and provides an excellent drive. Regarding the Flex A’s….. I’ve had mine on for about 2k now, and by all accounts they are fantastic. I use mine as a daily which gets some highly spirited drives and it is excellent at both. They are comfortable enough on the bumpy bits but planted perfectly on the corners. I replaced the drop links with WhiteLine adjustables as I’ve dropped it a fair way. (The factory links are really poor and will likely need to be cut of so even if your staying OEM you will probs need new ones anyway) I also fitted a front strut brace post coilovers which also made a good amount of difference (although only for those highly spires drives!) Good luck on your search, be sure to post pics. Also keen to hear FI progress later down the line as I’m heading the same route next Sept…,

Discovered that my 86 can make into a multi story without grounding out. Also, shamefully discovered photo editing software 🤷‍♂️

New here, blue BRZ in Kent

That looks really good, I was convinced I wasn’t going to do any cosmetic changes after my wheels, but that looks insane. I imagine if I see it in real life I’m gonna have to get one!

Welcome! Agreed, that spoiler does look lush. Any pics of the back would be appreciated!

    Hello, I'm Lisa

Hey Lisa! Hope you love the car as much as the rest of us do, I must admit, you’ve gone for a cracking colour choice 😉 Are you likely to be heading down the modification route or is it to be left standard?

Yeah, couldn’t resist! Ordered the Japanese font, 86 logo on a weighted hybrid in black with red splash. Definitely a tad excessive, but based on how good yours looks it had to be done ✅

100% too close to the space ship for handbrake turns! Plus, I’m a little past handbrake turns in car parks - but never say never I guess 😂 Thanks Luke, my previous car was black and I had a white MR2 so wanted something a tad different. Soon as I set eyes on one in blue I had to have it!

    Happy New Year!

Hey guys and gals. I’ve had my 86 for just over two years, left her completely standard for the 1st year and have now fully got the modification bug. My previous car was a SW20 MR2 Turbo which I was constantly playing with but eventually it became impractical to daily and after 13 years, I couldn’t merit keeping it. I intend to keep my 86 for a similar time frame, and will be going down the FI route next year once funds allow. So far, I’ve changed wheels, fitted coilovers, roll bar links and a strut brace to the front, changed the cat-back exhaust and tinted the rear windows. Next on the list this year will be manifold and re-map to help out with this pesky torque dip. Hope to get to some shows this year!

One of those rare occasions that you get a good ‘safe’ space at Bluewater.
