AJ124 got a reaction from Camilz in So.... talk manifolds to me
I have the Tomei UEL catless, can defiantly feel a bit more torque in the dip and then there is the noise . The car needs a map to make the most of it and will be done in the near future.
One thing to bear in mind if you go catless manifold before a map is, you will get a EML if you don't use a spacer on the second lambda sensor. I knew it might happen but took a chance and 200 miles later it pinged up, bought a £10 spacer cleared the code and not had it come back in 2,000+ miles.

Selling the Sti style front splitter I bought from Tarmac Sportz, never been fitted as I never got round to it. Trying to fund some decent coilovers and have decided I want the keep the exterior stock for now so it's up for grabs.
Paid £125+postage. £100+postage takes it or collection from GU6.

Cheers @rob275. @Squadrone Rosso I can help you out with a custom one, I have a pattern in my toolbox and have a few alcantara ones made up ready to advertise on my Pinktrim section on the forum. So a custom leather one would be no problem. Drop me a pm if interested.

Hahaha I'll spare your blushes don't worry. It was great meeting everyone - although I didn't have much time to chat as this track involved a lot of walking around! Blagged some great vantage points and took a few photos:

I think on their old suspension line up (pre flex Z and flex a) it used to be 7/7 but changed when they revamped it.

The standard tein rates (6/6) - I figured they've developed them with those rates and so I'd give them a try. They seem to work very well.

When I had the GT1's fitted I didn't know they hadn't been fully developed on the 86 platform and they basically didn't work well at all - they had a really horrible bounce like the front and back dampers were not working together well. I took the car back to B.A.D who developed the GT1's with Meister a couple of times but they still couldn't get them working properly so they put a set of the Zeta's on to get me home. I ran those for about a month. I found them to be quite harsh and have a slightly brittle feeling - similar to how some lowering springs can feel. I swapped to the flex a's as I was intrigued by the hydraulic bump stop and had read that tein were on their 3rd gen of development with the 86 platform. I have found the flex a's to be excellent. I haven't had standard suspension for a long time but other members who have have ridden in the car with me and suggested it rides better than stock and this is with it being lowered approximately 45mm.
Hope that helps but if you have any more questions please ask.

I couldn't possibly comment 😉 one thing I'm pretty confident in is that some of the modifications planned may be the first over this side of the pond, and some of the differences with the US spec cars and ours will definitely become apparent

As a few of you may know i have recently taken delivery of my second 86, due to a few issues with my first one. Things have taken a massive swing of direction since ownership and as such have decided to document this, as some of you may be interested in following the modifications that are planned for the very near future with this model.
To start this post of here is a photo from when i took delivery just before Christmas

Since picking up the new 86 aero i am incredibly happy to report that none of the old issues i had have surfaced, thankfully my local dealer has been incredibly helpful with everything and i couldn't possibly recommend them more. I am well aware that more than a few of you will not agree with the direction this build is going to go in, however for me this is a test bench to try out new products and offerings from various companies throughout the UK and abroad and to give as best reviews as i can, as such i have been working closely with a few companies already to try and set things in motion for this year, but more of that later to start with i fitted my set of valenti rear lights as i really dislike the look of the stock lights, an easy fit with great results. Following up with this i borrowed a friends workshop to polish and protect the paint through the winter.

This result was achieved with a 2 stage polish with my Rupes bigfoot da polisher, a multitude of polishes before degreasing and applying two coats of Gyeon mohs+ sealant, if applied correctly this can last up too a year if maintained properly, this not only helps to keep the car cleaner for longer but also helps to prevent all the winter salt and rubbish trashing the paint.
This car is daily driven as well as tracked so its a compromise with parts so some things will be tested to see if they fit my needs, especially since i like to have fun in this car, after all who buys a rear wheel drive car just to sit in traffic?
