I've seen a few (3 in fact) in and around Didcot lately. Although not everyone responds to the wave 😄

A successful wave as we passed near the station.  Passed quite a few times now, car looks great.

I have also being planning THE most epic UK road trip. I think I will drive this before the N.coast 500 and turn it in to a 1,000 mile beast

This is what I have came up with so far. It's a work in progress, I tried to include all the places on amazing roads to visit including the Evo triangle, Yorkshire Dales, Butter tubs and the Tan Hill Inn, Loch Lomond and some gems I've previously found.

Oi! I wasn't undertaking... I was overtaking cars that were on the driving lane (left lane) it is not my fault that there were middle/outside lane joggers driving slower 😂
it was a very nice surprise to see you special K, and lots of fun having a fellow happy 86 driver for company on an otherwise boring journey.
I missed you at the Xmas bash, you would have loved the restaurant 😊

There I was . . gently motoring down the M6/M1 yesterday morning from Cumbria. . . left at 7.45am, dropped off the end of the M6 Toll and, at Watford Gap at about 11.00am , caught up with a Ninja '64 plate . .
Hmm . . dunno . .  flashed my lights as I overtook, glanced left . . it was Carla . .!
We had a great hoon from Watford down to M25 . . she's a b*gger for overtaking on the inside (but legit, outside lane was >70mph ). She has proper lane discipline and, being a gentleman, I adopted my surrogate role as shepherd, giving undertake and gently flashing my headlights to suggest "GET A FSCKING  MOVE ON !!"
Respect, lady. I enjoyed it and you broke up a really boring journey . .

Whilst I have no problem with anyone organising trips on alternative dates I would appreciate this thread remaining focused on the window I have suggested. I hope this request doesn't cause any offence.

Dropping in to update everyone on what's going on at the moment! (I know i've gone a bit silent on my build thread but don't you worry, lots of info coming soon. spoiler alert: it's going well )

Anyway, So i picked up this mad old man up from the airport on Friday night that goes by the name of "Keith"! I thought it would be funny to wait for him in the Arrivals area holding up a Special K cereal sign! He walked right passed me though ;( I spotted him from his Custom Fensport/Toyota embroidered jacket (really jealous about that one!) so i chased him and eventually met up with him.

After loading up the luggage into the back of the very spacious GT86 we headed off to his hotel. Not too shabby i must admit! spitting (literally) distance from the sea!
A couple of beers + 2 hours later we were still at it, talking, laughing having a good time in general, before we called it a night.
 
This morning i picked Keith up from the hotel, we went to sort out his rent-a-car, got it back to the hotel, and made our way to a lovely restaurant (which Keith seems to have fallen in love with) for what i must say was a SPECTACULAR lunch! Beer, Wine, oysters, cigarettes the LOT! We were there from around 12 till 6PM! Awesome time we had exchanging stories!

We have plans to catch the ferry tomorrow and spend the day on the small but lovely island of Gozo! 

This guy is a total and utter nutter! True petrol head! Love him!

Hey Twigman, you can buy a specific tar & adhesive remover - I believe Autoglym still make it.  We used to use it in the trade (albeit many years ago!)
Although when you've used it on windows, you will need to use plenty of chalk based window polish to get rid of the smears

I love the red on the interior because it gives it a bit of depth and something to catch the eye as you look at it from the outside.  I also want to paint the brake calipers red just to tie it all in together.  
Chosenman007 also suggested adding gold somewhere...! oh yes, tyre valve caps I believe, no surprises there...

Hi all, anyone out an about in Worcestershire tomorrow (Sunday) morning?
I will be taking my baby for the obligatory run out pre lunch if anyone is up for a mini meet

As I will be heading 'up North' on Saturday just wondered if anything is happening around Leeds/Bradford area?
If not and anyone's fancies a mini meet/drive I will be heading north from Worcestershire to West Yorkshire on the M1, driving very (ahem) sensibly!

We are staying at Brownsover hall, very nice, and free prosecco. Ginger ninjas here too.
