I carry a Full Size Spare 17" Alloy Wheel with Tyre in the Boot and have the Boot Liner that fits over the top of the wheel.

Got the Liner from Toyota Australia

    Certainly improves traction....lol

In my ford days yes. When booking the club stand and tickets everyone paid a bit extra and then that covered the food / drink etc. Bit difficult for a free shoe to sort through

No problem Nigel Gavin has spares we tend to meet a short distance from venue anyway so you will get one then but it's not the sort of place that wouldn't let you in when with the rest of us

    @James18
Morning All.. Had mine returned to me yesterday following the spring replacement; took it to Platinum in Trowbridge and was really impressed with the service and the way they dealt with it. I still haven't received a letter yet, but wasn't going to wait for one - so I phoned them up earlier in the month, they were really helpful and slotted it in within a few weeks!
It had its 6yr service recently, so plugs didn't need to be changed, and the engine has only done 35k so I didn't need the clutch either. Few new pipes, air-con refill, oil filter etc (as per the norm). The technican said that the coolant was replaced (obviously) - so it shouldn't need changing on the 10yr service, which is good to know. Speaking to the technicans (sorry if I'm repeating what might already be on here), they have to be trained especially for the task - there aren't many of them that can do the job, and I think they can only do one at a time too because of space in the workshop. Nathan and Joe have done a few between them now though, and I haven't got any complaints; no leaks yet!!
Thanks to Darrell for organising it too - he's been giving me daily progress reports/images and a visual inspection sheet, and they stuck absolutely to the timescale that they gave me originally.
So, all's well that ends well!
I've attached a few images - just the ones that aren't likely to just be repeats of what's come before. I'll report back if I have any problems, in the meantime...
Nice to be able to swap back in the Yaris/Aygo/whatever it was, for my 86 - and a blast home

Car was finished yesterday. Fantastic service from the team at Motorline Horsham. I was very well looked after and special thanks to John for going that extra mile!! 😉
Brand new courtesy car, aircon re gas, spark plugs fitted free, spotlessly clean and car feels great = happy customer
The only downside in all of this is I had to say a teary-eyed goodbye to the red beauty..............

@Lauren Do we have some sort of proof of this we can show the more stubborn dealers? Or is it a case of find a new dealer? As paying full whack for a service that others are offering so much cheaper is ridiculous.
I was informed that the tools required to carry out the work are going from dealer to dealer. Not sure whether that has any truth behind it or not however.

Test Drives Unlimited reacted to Subota Boy in SUNSET MEET at Beachy Head -soon!
The idea is to pick a suitable weekday evening to meet up at the Beachy Head pub, and from there to enjoy the stunning views and twisty local road, and perhaps a bite to eat or refreshing drink at the Pub.

To achieve this, and to make the trip worthwhile, we need the assistance of the weather. Beachy Head is very exposed and a windy inclement evening will render a gathering, particularly for photos, rather pointless. We will not stay at the pub for these, but attempt to find space in one of the various viewpoint car parks in the area. We need fairly clear sky and a gorgeous sunset to get the best photos.

    A recent sunset session.

If you are interested in such an event, please note that it will be at short notice, as a reliable break in the weather will only allow for a few days notice to arrange this. I will therefore need your contact details via PM so I can message you individually when a likely evening presents itself. The reason for picking a weekday evening is because the area can get really busy, even on weekdays, so finding that photo opportunity may require some luck.

If all goes to pot, then a meet in the pub will be the fall back position. We are dealing with mother nature here, and she doesn't always co-operate. We will do our best to predict the best window of opportunity.

I wouldn't worry too much, if you're dealer is worried by your modifications then they can refer to Toyota for advice. In all honesty there are others with far more substantial modifications. I would simply show them the differences and express your concerns as they will only take it on if they are confident that is how it works.

Test Drives Unlimited reacted to Lauren in Anyone worried it will turn into the new Mazda RX8
What are the bigger engine issues? I've not had issues in 128,000 miles from new. As long as you take care of it and service it on time, there is nothing to fear here. It's nothing like the RX8 in that respect.

If it was an RX8, I would already be thinking about a rebuild, an engine mount would be sagging, there would be bubbling sills, the coolant sensor warning would be permanently on, I'd be changing plugs and coils for the second time and I would be spending 50% more on fuel. It's a much better mannered car so far and the Toyota spares are a bit cheaper.
I don't believe it's that unusual for car club enthusiasts to see a few engine failures, as they ask the most from their cars and make "improvements". My cause for concern is that there are fewer '86s on the roads than there were RX8s. That might play positively or negatively in future.

A few external changes, and under the bonnet looks a bit different. Oh, and it's a bit lower and sounds and rides different and goes and stops quicker, but feels essentially the same as it did six years ago today.  Happy birthday!

My tip for first trackday is to leave the VSC on (probably in sport mode). If you have the skill to fool around with oversteer then fine, but most of us are not as good as we think we are. It won't limit you unless you're really good or drive with fists of ham, and it might just save you from spinning out at a bad time. Some people think stability control is emasculating, but I prefer to have backup until I know my way around the car and the track. Lauren can drift everywhere, but I suspect she can outrun me with only three wheels.
Top priority is to learn the lines - an experienced driver in the passenger seat helps loads with that. I benefitted hugely from guidance on my first day.
