Waiting around at Folkestone on the way to Austria 

I just tried few on track days to see. Frankly was not that much of a difference - Bell was somewhat less comfortable in M (but L was too loose), and I found Sparco fitted me well and my ears didnt hurt after a whole day on in it. Sparco also has several different M sizes, so it was a bit easier to choose.

But if you cant find a shop close by (I couldn't), I'd say try few at track days and then order online from somewhere with good returns policy.

Not easy. Due wide because of boxer design engine and cramped under-bonnet space. I suggest googling for DIY spark plug change though, as if done by dealer it might be very expensive. I guess because official dealer procedure for changing spark-plugs IIRC involved lifting engine, thus due high hour pay they ask much. By DIY guide it was not easy, but possible without lifting engine.

The coils on the side that tends to fail aren't too bad to access from the top, when you move an ecu out of the way. It's more the cost of the coil, they are really pricey, £100 a throw.

Just a general thought, do people fancy another meeting before the years out, perhaps using xmas as an excuse?
There's been a few successful meetings in both Birmingham and Essex so maybe something between somewhere like Oxford or Northampton.  
If there's enough interest I'll volunteer to find somewhere and book a table.

TBH id not recommend it. Loved the sound of mine (bit loud for me as im an old man) but QC is not the best at nameless.

Just know that once that door closes and Gary takes off you’re going to be 5 ish grand lighter at some point 😂😂😂

@sam534 prob not help but Iam from derby too! I have unequal manifold berk front pipe and injen cat back. May not help as mines turbo' d but more than welcome to have a listen👍

I've got an Invidia R400 that I love, It's quite loud on cold starts, but its near silent when the revs drop to around 700, and there's not too much drone at motorway speeds. Sounds great when you open it up though.

Oh also Sam if you have sleepy neighbors google or make a post asking if there’s any way to remove the cold start retard I had it mapped out but you might be able to do it with an odb dongle or something or it might be a map only thing but it makes a world of difference to starting you Car in the morning 

the invidia n1 is a pretty cheap exhaust i think its about 700 new and sounds similar to the tomei but duel exit and 2.5" so is a bit more tame but  also has bungs to make it quieter. The chap i sold mine too loves it. For now id look at youtube vids for each exhaust on stock cars as that will give you the best idea of sound

Yeah I have TD's manifold downpipe and res catback. The manifold has made it louder than just having the res cat back but the tone of the exhaust etc is the same. Just pm me if you want to have a listen and im sure we can arrange something.

I don’t mind meeting halfway I’ll pm you my number and I can’t promise i won’t make a sales pitch for all my other bits while I’m there .

Close call = dash cam ordered from Amazon! 
Was driving along, doing about 65, and a Mercedes taxi chose the last second to pull out at the jct for furzton lake, I slammed on the brakes, and had to skid my car to the left to avoid him. If I hadn't have turned as well as braked I would have t-boned him. 
And after, rather than stop and say sorry he sped off! So popped my GT86 in sport mode, went all Jason borne on him and chased him around mk till he went onto the a5 and I got his license plate and taxi number. I've called the taxi firm and they got him to call me to apologise 👏👌
