I'll take them - I can pay now but won't be able to receive them for 2 weeks if you delay posting them, that okay?
  2. Thanks

Hello and welcome! Mine is 62 plate as well, no issues so far. It's only had a driver's side wing mirror replaced 2 years ago, but other than that it's all good at its 52k miles!
If you need any parts, let me know I'm sure we have something you might like

    I've been slacking..
So, I Managed to get Smoked Valentis, but after having them for a few weeks I thought they don't look right on my car because it's black. I didn't want it to be too blacked out, so I started looking for Red & White valentis.

@Lowe was nice enough to swap with me! He wanted smoked ones and I wanted red

After that I got my Cosmis Racing XT-206R wheels 18x9 on Cusco (stock size) Adjustable Dampers and they fit with no rubbing what so ever.
I went for 225/40R18 Toyo Tires T1Rs are I'm very happy with them. They behave really good - though I can only compare them to stock Primacys. It's a better, softer and much more grippy tyre. The difference is massive, I didn't realise how much I had to slow down before just to get around a corner, but it's a piece of cake now! People say that there is a new compound of T1Rs and that it's made in Taiwan or China, but my tyres still say Made in Japan, so I take it it's the "good" tyre.. Either way I'm happy, and my mate with the Chaser (above) went for Nankang NS2Rs and he's really happy with them too, obviously you need to be aware of what you have and if you put semi-slicks on your car and then drive in the rain like a **** you can't expect miracles and I think that this is where all negative comments come from - people not knowing what they have.

I got some tyre chalk/pen and added 20bhp all round. I only did it because I felt like it was too black still, now it's got a bit of contrast.
Sitting well on Whiteline Lowering Springs (25mm drop all round). It could do with being a tad lower (5-10mm) but I'd struggle to retain practicality, not to mention I don't even have a front lip yet, so 25mm is ideal if you want to be sensible IMO
I have upgraded the front discs as well, I've got 295mm National Auto Grooved discs, it significantly helps the cooling compared to the normal solid OEM discs.

    Cusco Drift Button - works like a normal hand brake button if you keep the spring that is inside of the lever - if you want to lose the spring, this will work pretty much like a hydro, just pull up and down without pressing the button;

I have been on the forum for a while and I thought it was about time I put some details up about my car and my tweaks. The cars main aim to balance more towards road but have trackdays in mind.

    Engine Changes:-

Tuning developments Cat Back Resonated Exhaust
Tuning developments down pipe cat deletion
    Tuning developments EL Manifold
    ECU Tek remap
    Tunging Developments Oil Cooler
D1 Spec Oil Pressure Gauge via vent placement

    Gearbox:-

    Powerflex shift bush
    mtec springs

    Chasis:-

    BC adjustable drop links
    MP20 Ohlins Coilovers
    White line LCA's
    Powerflex Camber bolts
(1.1 neg camber all round with slight out at front and toe in at rear)

    Wheels and Brakes:-

RAYS Japan - Gram Lights 17*7
    Porsche GT3 Brake ducts
Apracing reyland 330mm brake kit with 2500 pads
    Coswroth streetmaster rear pads
    Misc:-

    Fensport Headlight adjuster

    Future Plans:-
None at present maybe look at the Supra when it comes out

It was surprising how good the car was in standard on track and  how it handled the alps which I thought it might struggle on the ascent but managed to hold onto so much more expensive machinery. Since the alps I started making changes to add some power and now after a some track days I have added in some handling with the Ohlins suspension.
    To do:-

Currently the car drives exactly as I want it, the only problem I have had is with the brakes overheating in the alps and at Donnington so a BBK is something I will look at for next year.

So, the other week I got locked out of my 86. It was a bit of a perfect storm of circumstances, and I put this here as a tale of experience so hopefully it will serve as a timesaver for someone who finds themselves in the same situation in the future...
So a bit of context. Car was parked on an incline, with the nose raised - this meant the doors were wanting to close with the aid of gravity. I'd unlocked the car, but mistakenly only pressed unlock once, rather than twice to do both doors. I opened the drivers door, put my wallet/phone/keys on the drivers seat leaving the door open, then went around to open the passenger door for my sons, so we can start the game of trying to get a 5 year old into the back seat!
As I got to the passenger door and tried to open it, the drivers door started to close of its own accord. It stopped on the first part of the 'latch', i.e half open. I tried to open the passenger door and found it was locked. I went back to the drivers door and to my horror found that the door would not open. The window was still slightly retracted, but the door handle would not engage and so the door wouldn't open. Even more annoying was that I was blocking someone in...
A friend and I got a piece of packaging banding, made a loop and managed to hook the interior door handle. However, despite being able to fully retract the handle the door would still not open. By now I'd already phoned my wife who was bringing the spare key over so had nothing to lose so I did what didn't make sense. I closed the door fully, and the window went back up into the closed position. Tried the door and... it opened!
So there you go - if you find yourself with a door on half latch that's not opening and your keys are in the car, close the door and then the handle will work. Save yourself the 50 minutes of trying to use the interior handle!

I'm not overly bothered about super light wheels, function is more my thing. Lap time difference is yet to be proved and probably is miniscule anyway. There are many other ways to improve the car for me other than  unsprung  weight
And @Lucas@PartBox those 18x9 look the dogs dangles.

"Competition size" on those particular models indicates a slightly different hub as well. Centre caps cannot be fitted.

No problem had some great results with them, you need to size the tyres accordingly and you gain grip vs nimbleness. Horses for courses I guess.

@Chappers it doesn't necessarily have to be a contributing factor, but they can be/are funny like that and not pay out because of your not declared rear diffuser even though you've got a front end damage.. it's happened to many people before, I guess it's up to you whether you want to risk it or not

    Cosworth Sump Plate/Baffle
I picked up a Cosworth sump plate baffle in part box bank holiday discounts. Its very nice piece with baffle plates that stick up into the engine to help reduce breather oil pickup. It has a total of 10 trap doors to ensure oil can return quickly to the sump but being very soft and flexible they close fast and seal nicely to stop oil pouring away from the pickup on long high G corners.   The plan eventually to run slick tyres.   Here some picture of the install:
