Just gone through this ordeal myself, battery would go flat, would have to jump to get to the dealership for them to test the battery, which would never fail, so I stumped up and bought the replacement. Below is a picture of the old battery and the new one.
Note the significant power difference.

Thought this might be useful for people who have bought their 86's used and are unsure whether they have a 'new', more powerful, or 'old' battery.
First picture is the 'new' battery (you can see it's all black):-

Bumper off


Intake manifold removed, rerouted wiring looms, add fuel line banjo and removed breathers


Manifold ready to fit to car with injectors, thottle body and EVAP fitted. It took ages becuause I was cleaning all the green goo off which Subaru went to town with.

On to the exhaust
I bought this system for a few reasons:

1) Sounds amazing  
2) Very well made with V band bandclamps
3) 3inch diameter means that if I want to go full stage 3 350+HP in the future the cat back supports this kind of power.
4) I can use the Cosworth stage 2.1 calibration with the SC kit.

Quick update, wheels, coilovers and BBK went on last, absolutely love the result, stance is great and a massive positive change handling/cornering. Adrian also spent another couple of hours remapping again. See pics below most taken by the Fensport lads. 
My headlights did not turn up in time so I will have to wait.

Only a minor update, but I have managed to source myself some nice wheels for a good price, they tick all the boxes (JDM, lightweight and strong)
Specs as below :
Advan Racing RC2 5x100 17x7.5j et35.
They aren't as wide as I had initially hoped to go, but I love the look of the wheels, the fact they are slightly wider than stock a lot lighter than stock wheels and have a nice offset.
And to top it off they seem to be a rare wheel, at least on this platform.
The wheels I have bought will come in white, I don't know whether to leave them white or have the returned in bronze like so in the picture.

I need to get myself some lug nuts and Advan centre caps and new tyres when they arrive.

They aren't as wide as I had initially hoped to go, but I love the look of the wheels, the fact they are slightly wider than stock a lot lighter than stock wheels and have a nice offset.

Finally fitted my TWS T66-f's 18x8.5 ET42 weighing in at 6.9Kg with Conti5's 235x40.

Try them white, reckon it'll look fab.

Very nice... Would be tempted to leave them white. At least for a while. Powder coat them when you get bored...

I've managed to source a set of second hand Advan racing RC 2 in white (17x7.5j et35) for a very good price.
Looking online these should be a good weight saving compared to stock wheels and slightly wider.
Will be running these with my Tein flex z coilovers and I plan to fit 225/45r17 Michelin pilot sport cups.
Will post pics when they land with me

RC2s are lovely wheels! Where did you find them? They are indeed a rare sight over here. Good choice.
