  1. For sale I have a Genuine TRD Quad pipe exhaust it has been on the car for around 40k miles and my only reason for removing is due to having the car turbocharged needing a wider diameter exhaust. I love the look of it and sounds nicer than stock also! I have took it off the car and took pictures straight away so will be much cleaner when someone purchases it but it's in brilliant condition with no marks  on any of the tips.

Please see the link attached to see just how expensive these are new! - https://www.fensport.co.uk/parts/toyota/gt-86/zn6/exhaust-system/gt86-trd-high-response-muffler-version-r/

Plus it comes with the diffuser already attached which is even more money! - https://www.fensport.co.uk/parts/toyota/gt-86/zn6/exhaust-system/gt86-trd-rear-diffuser-eu-spec/

I'm looking for just £350 ono and located in Grantham, Lincolnshire

  2. Perrin cam covers for sale in black, brought from another forum member over winter then put in a cupboard with the plan to put them on when I get a minute as our cam solenoids are prone to rusting and deteriorating over time. I now have a big turbo sat right in the way so I've decided it's more hassle than it's worth now.

Please see attached link for any details regarding them and the price when new - https://www.amber-performance.co.uk/product.php?xProd=25568&xSec=8602

Looking for £70 and they are located in Grantham, Lincolnshire

  3. As the name suggests I have a Japspeed Equal length decat manifold for sale in good condition, the manifold has done roughly 20k miles. I have only removed it due to having a TD turbo kit fitted but enjoyed plenty of miles without a torque dip thanks to this manifold and a map. I haven't cleaned it as haven't had any spare time recently but will get it nice and clean before sale.

Looking for £200 and located in Grantham, Lincolnshire

  4. Just been looking at those but they seem to only offer +/- 0.75 degree of camber  . I would really be wanting a bit more than that and would like the option to add more if I needed it rather than buy a whole new item, Just seen as well the whiteline stuff seems to have a lifetime guarantee as well which is another bonus.

I'm not in any rush to get anything but will get them soon just to get it a bit more dialled up and then hopefully get it corner weighted and she should be about right :)

  5. That's good to hear then, I thought about it a bit more last night and for me I think the whiteline ones will be perfect. I just want something to add a small amount of camber to the rear and that's it. It's a 90% road car with the idea of tracking it every couple of months or so.

Seeing as they are half the price and should in theory have a longer life it seems silly not to, although they do not look anywhere near as good as the gorgeous Voodoo 13 one's

  6. I'm looking at getting myself a set of LCA'S in the near future and have looked at just about every option going. I was looking at the likes of cusco as they look a quality part whilst being about £100 or so cheaper than the Voodoo 13 ones although I have been told not to bother with rose joints due to the Uk having so much road salt through the winter months that will end up just eating away at them. Think I'm fairly decided on the whiteline ones where you can fit and forget and should last a good few years even thought they don't have the adjustabilty of others, I will be keeping an eye out to see how you get on with these though :)

  7. Personally I use Tuning Devlopments for bits like tuning etc but I know there are plenty of people who use abbey and are just as happy with them as I am with Tuning Developments.

Like @Lowe has said you need to trust them with your car. Try and talk to them both first (sounds like you already have) you can normally tell just form a first impression what they are like and how much knowledge they have.

  8. Hi matt,

Your certainly making a good decision ;)

I've got a TRD and have had it for over three years now and I love it as much as the day I got it although I have modified mine a fair bit. The exhaust note on a standard car imho is very very dull, doesn't sound anything like a sports car. The TRD is slightly better although it's still not the best sounding, what I did to mine was replace the manifold, overpipe and remove the second cat and it soundly much nicer without being over loud plus it put my premium up by such a small amount it was totally worth it!

If your just going for a TRD for the sound don't bother but if your going for one for the overall looks I certainly would, I don't regret it at all! You can pick them up for not too much of a premium now over the standard car and for that you get a full body kit, a set of slightly wider wheels, TRD gear stick, TRD radiator cap, TRD fuel filler cap and the TRD quad exhaust.

What I'd recommend is go and look at a few examples some TRD and some stock and see what you reckon, either way they are great cars I'm sure you'll love both!

I phoned to book this morning and the earliest they could fit us all in was 3pm, I've booked the table for then but if that means you now cannot make it as its too late please let me know so I can amend the booking.

That works better for me as I'll be driving down from TD in the morning :)

  10. I've just got myself a GoPro Hero5 as well for track days and making small clips for youtube. I'm going to order one of the headrest mounts as they look without question one of the best a safest ways to mount the camera inside the car but I was also hoping to get a suction mount for the outside as well to record exhaust noise or to get different angles etc. Is there any certain one that people recommend? There seems to be that many options out there I don't know which to go for. the last thing I want is it to fall off going down the road...

(Sorry for hijacking the thread I hope you don't mind :) )

    Hi All

At the end of January I finally bit the bullet and bought a metallic grey 2012 GT86. I have wanted one since I saw the concept at the Melbourne motor show a couple years before they launched. I recently moved back to the south of Ireland and was fortunate enough to be in a position to get one. Needless to say I am loving it so far. I was in between buying a modded one or standard but decided to buy standard in the end just for peace of mind. I use it as my only car and daily driver.

My plans over the next couple years when I have some spare change:

    1. OFH + OFT (this will be my first mod in the next few months)

    2. Works Kiwani's (18x9.5), still unsure about offset on standard shocks. Thinking +30

    3. HT auto front/rear lip, side skirts (although removal of mud flaps is required for this which may change my mind)

    4. ST Coilovers (or similar)

    5. Resonated exhaust (Still undecided on which to get, its my daily so needs to be quiet on motorways)

    6. Replace factory taillights (possibly with Toms)

    Advice needed:

The south of Ireland gets quite bad winters. From researching online I can see hard wearing mats are available for LHD models that also cover the side carpet. Has anyone come across these for the RHD model? The style I am referring to are the 3D MAXPIDER on the speedfactory website.

Looking forward to getting involved with the forum and thanks to all for already great information available.

Works Kiwami are gorgeous wheels I was tempted by a set myself! @TTR actually has a set for sale with decent V105 tyres.

The only thing is with 9.5j you wouldn't be able to fit it in with the stock springs as they would catch. You'd have to put a set of coilovers on first
