Hello all,

Just joined the forum as we've bought a GT86 for my Wife who owned a Gen 7 Celica for 11 years. Next weekend the car will have Eibach springs fitted and staggered 18" Rota Grid wheels. :)

Thank you all :)

Yep I will post before/after pics of lowering and bigger wheels. It's something I've always done with cars. This is my Wife's car so there are no serious mods planned :D My screen name is one I used on forums for about 15 years. I've had various V8's over the years (currently have a Merc E55 AMG) hence the name. So no, unfortunately there is no V8 transplant lurking. Another pic of the car and one of the Celica that the GT86 replaced. We bought the Celica also at 3 years old and I lowered that too with bigger wheels :D

Why staggered out of interest? I have square rota grids and they're a decent balance between looks and performance without creating too much grip that it ruins the oversteer-happy nature of the car.

I just think they look nice :) I've had staggered set up ups on other cars, some as O.E., others I did for the looks. It's my Wife's car so it won't be doing much drifting anyway :D but will look better IMO.

Congrats and welcome to the club....I'm sensing a theme on your drive :P

Thanks :)

The Black on Black theme wasn't really planned TBH. I bought the Celica's wheels in about 2006 and the Mercedes I only bought about 2 months ago. The Merc came with the Back wheels but my plan is to return them to Silver along with window tint removal. The Rota Grids I have ordered are Gunmetal :) It's not all Black, I have a White Peugeot 205 and also this White Escort RS1600i that I am rebuilding :)
