Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 10, 2015 This stuff is amazing!!Wash your carSpray stuff on whilst wetRinse with jet wash immediatelyAnd BANG sealed hydrophobic and very shiny paint:
Tareim 343 Report post Posted October 10, 2015 I don't get how it has any effect if you're washing it off immediately after spraying it on :/
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 11, 2015 Chemistry! In all serious I don't understand how it bonds so quickly. I think as it mixes with water it some how activates it and it sticks. It's crazy, but it's not snake oil

rob275 1817 Report post Posted October 11, 2015 Cars are generally hydrophobic after a wash anyway. See what it's like in a week I'm skeptical.
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 12, 2015 Your on.. In a week or so I'll give it a quick rinse off and we will see what it is like . They do proper (and expensive) 2 part sealants. This product is a short term sealant lasting 12 weeks per application.Makes drying the car simple and my car has never looked this glossy with a polish. I'm sure a full day session with clay bar, Polish, seal and wax would be better. But this took me an hour and I don't have the time for day long detailing sessions any more
rob275 1817 Report post Posted October 12, 2015 12 Weeks for a simple application it worth it I guess. That's if it lasts 12 weeks! My Gtechniq has lasted me 18 months so far, though as i'm having most my car repainted at the moment I couldn't tell you the real longevity of it as i'll need to re-apply it!So I must count from day one again 1 Gringosteve reacted to this
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 12, 2015 I hear good stuff about Gtechniq! Stay tuned for view on longevity, it's £10 a bottle and you can squeeze three cars out of that.
smudge 1020 Report post Posted October 12, 2015 £10 for something that you chuck onto the car with little to no effortSorry, I don't buy it!
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 12, 2015 It seems to have worked for many many people. I was sceptical but the finish is great. It's the longevity I need to test. What would it take to convince you smudge?http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2m-wetcoat.html
smudge 1020 Report post Posted October 12, 2015 Proof is in the pudding obviously mateBut there are a load of these products out there, the Demon Shine crap probably being promoted the mostIt's like anything in life - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isA gorgeous gloss and protection can only be achieved by using decent products and hard work in my opinion

Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 16, 2015 Car has been sat on my drive most of the week as i worked in Budapest this week. Will check the hydrophobic properties after I have actually done some miles
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 21, 2015 Haven't cleaned since applying and have covered 200 miles: 1 Tareim reacted to this
rob275 1817 Report post Posted October 21, 2015 I'd say it's lost some sheeting properties but is certainly beading well Which I admit, being an apply when wet product i'm surprised about! 1 Gringosteve reacted to this
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted October 21, 2015 Think it will sheet with volume of water. This is just drizzle as it has rained this afternoon. When I drove off it mostly poured off the vehicle. Will see when I clean it if it still sheets Gets amazing reviews on detailing world etc, seems to defy physics lol
rob275 1817 Report post Posted October 21, 2015 ahh ok that will explain why it doesn't look like it's sheeting.
Varelco 211 Report post Posted November 3, 2015 Interesting I might try some, although It will be hard pressed to beat Sonax BSD. That stuff is incredible and seems to last for ages.
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted November 4, 2015 It will never beat a proper sealant. But if, like me, free time is at a premium.. Then it's the next best thing
chopper602 21 Report post Posted November 7, 2015 I can vouch as being another satisfied Wet coat user - very impressed with it. I went through almost a full bottle on the first application, so I was probably over doing it, but it's good. I also got the snow foam and the shampoo that works alongside it. (I don't know how it works so well either!!) 1 Gringosteve reacted to this

Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted May 3, 2016 Long term the car wash variant of this stuff works better. Wash your car with your usual shampoo, and then once rinsed wipe on the Gyeon shampoo neat with a wet sponge a panel at a time and rinse immediately - it's messy if you let it dry or cook in the sun. This way the effect lasts much much longer and you can get epic shine _____________________________________ www.tuned.org.uk 1 Keethos reacted to this
