Recommended Posts

Some awesome news, the GT86 has been added to the MSV Driving Gifts site to take a rally spec GT86 around Oulton Park or Brands Hatch's Rally Track!

These can be booked here - http://www.msvdrivinggifts.com/experience/rallymaster.aspx

For £99 you get 15 mins behind the wheel with an instructor and then a fast run as a passenger with the instructor or for £165, you get 2 x 20 mins sessions behind the wheel, a fast run as a passenger again but this also includes personal accident and cancellation cover..........club booking me thinks :D

I'm sure it would be, always loved playing Rally games but never had the bottle to actually do it.....or the money to get an actual rally spec vehicle :P  But to be able to do it in a GT86 will be awesome!

It'll be fun, but 2x20 minutes is IMO not really long enough. I did a full day with Phil Price as a birthday present some years ago driving a MK2 Escort on gravel, it was fantastic, but I was in the car all day for £300.

You'll certainly learn something, but you need the maximum sessions to get a chance to hone your skills.

Snap Lauren, Phil was really good.

Is it though? Trackdays maybe cheaper but you're using your own car for trackdays whereas here, you technically hiring both a car and a driver with insurance, and I'm sure rallying is a lot more risky than a trackday no?

Do this instead and spend all day in a MK2 Escort:

http://www.philprice.co.uk/courses/1-day-intense-course/

Price £299. Includes lunch and refreshments.

You also get a ride out on the full stage with Phil in his GpA WRX.

This is exactly what I want to do. The link seems to suggest you are in an impreza. Which would be fun but having an escort myself I would much prefer to have go round in a rear wheel mk2 escort.
