Very good I'd imagine. I'd have had them myself if I hadn't bought a set shortly before they came up. Think this is a bit of a bargain for the size/weight.

18x8.5s are 8.1kgs, so these will be lighter than that. Bargain IMO.

Well it's soon going to be time for me to hand the car back in to Toyota, I had originally planned to keep it three years but after two Toyota have offered me more money than cars for sale privately and mine has more miles etc on it!!!
Sad to be leaving as its an amazing little car, have loved every minute of owning it, doing my first trackday and competing in the TSS of which I finished 3rd in class last year which I was proud of considering my lack of experience 
Unfortunately I can't say I'm moving on to bigger and better things as it will be being replaced by a 5door Aygo X-Cite to allow me to build up some savings before buying something truly stupid, or another 86 in a years time...
Going to stay as a lurker on the forum to keep an eye on things coming up for sale, TSS info (the Aygo may make an appearance this year for a giggle) and random social meets if I'm allowed to attend  this forum and group of people really are exceptional I think, never met a friendlier (and boozier) lot in my whole 7 years of driving 
Anyway, I'll leave this with a few of my favourite pics from the last two years...

My past 2 cars were VAG based FWD hot hatches. They will always have a place in my dream garage. I've typically avoided VW, mostly because I dislike the generally bland interior and understated styling, and they tend to be 10-20% more expensive, so I've tended towards Seat in the past.
However, what cannot be argued is how much more suited a turbocharged hot hatch is to daily driving. So much more usable power (max torque on mine was around 1500rpm), excellent fuel economy, easy to park and a nice big boot.
My only reason for moving away was wanting something more fun, and there's not denying a GT86 is more fun than most FWD cars.
Be interesting to see how you find going the other way though.

I expect you'll be very pleased with it. I know the purists on here won't approve but I like a sorted small fwd hatchback...

Better looking too... I think it's a bit overlooked because the previous 1.4 gti was a bit underwhelming. But the 1.8 is great. Very close in character to a mk2 golf gti to me...

I know that with Mercedes. You get more discount going pcp but you have to wait three months.  (three instalments)  then you can pay the total off theoretically keeping almost all the discount. What my auntie did. But to so that she had to put 90 percent down and take the rest on pcp.

I work in tech but I'm a complete Luddite. Give me aircon and decent tunes and you can keep all the fancy modern gadgets. Borrowed an up-spec Qashqai recently - completely did my head in!

The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket..
 
Seat belts are not as confining as wheelchairs
 
Do you realise that, in about 40 years, you lot will have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos..?

I was at Southport Air Show yesterday to see one of the Vulcan's last outings. Was sad to think this beast won't be flying after this season..

Emailed the garage for an update. Toyota still not approved the part so they've ordered it anyway.

Trouble is, it's on back order until the 24th so even if it arrives then, they only have a few days to fix it & test it, not the best part of two weeks we were hoping for.

They've escalated the parts supply issues with Toyota but guess what? No reply to calls or emails.

If dealers get treated like this, what hope do punters have

In the meantime, enjoying the Camaro SS. Driving through Death Valley to Vegas later today
