Lauren 2259 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Up to you on the final drive. I tried Kev's and I didn't really like it. Made 1st gear too short plus increased revs on the motorway. I like Euro trips, so not for me. The acceleration advantage it offered didn't seem worth it to me. And you may get some diff whine from it too.

Kodename47 446 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Dan is running one on his Harrop BRZ, but shorter (4.57 IIRC). I wonder if longer (3.9) would suit FI better.
Bfranklyn86 52 Report post Posted March 16, 2017 Yeh I've heard of some people with FI in the states doing it, with good results. Just wondering if there's anyone in the U.K. apparently it helps smooth out the lower gears really nicely.
DanJ 374 Report post Posted March 16, 2017 Dan is running one on his Harrop BRZ, but shorter (4.57 IIRC). I wonder if longer (3.9) would suit FI better. Yes, I've got the 4.67 FD. Personally I don't find it too short even with FI, but then i very rarely take it on motorways. I'd fitted the FD whilst still NA so I am tempted to drop the stock 4.1 back in for a bit and see which i prefer, more important things to do first though!
