rob275 1817 Report post Posted January 13, 2016 Probably useful to place this here and pin it for reference, is anyone changing tyres this year for the TSS? 2016tyrelists1abc.pdf Source: https://www.msauk.org/assets/2016tyrelists1abc.pdf
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted January 13, 2016 I may well do. Currently got V105's on the front and Contisport Contact 5's on the back.
rob275 1817 Report post Posted January 13, 2016 Interesting, any reasons why? You don't strike me as the person to mismatch tyre brands

KevinA 695 Report post Posted January 14, 2016 IMHO there are no additions on 1a list that make any improvement over last year.

Keethos 842 Report post Posted January 14, 2016 Her rears were worn and Rich didn't have any v105's in so she's opted for the Conti's....am I right? I on the other hand can't remember why I did it, probably just because I wanted to try something new since my rears wore down within 7 months on the Conti's
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 4, 2016 Yeah, a bit late replying to this one, but there weren't any V105's available so I thought I'd try the Contis. Feelings are that the Contis are more progressive, their grip under acceleration is better, but I'm not convinced about their lateral grip under cornering. They are more progressive, but let go sooner I reckon.
Ade 517 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 I contisport 5's for the road, which are standard fitment on my Merc ..... but not so much on a trackday.... 1 KevinA reacted to this
Special K 442 Report post Posted February 7, 2016 Conti5's are my preferred option. And I buy tyres like I buy Starbucks lattee . . It merely needs a bit of try-and-buy on tyre pressures to dial in/out personal preferences, in my opinion. 2psi makes a big difference. No big deal as I take time to try and tune myself/tyres in. YMMV Spec K
