  1. I am looking to sell my road/race going 2012 GT86 as my age and health are conspiring against me . . sob Bought new in November 2012 and used daily, this is possibly the most highly modified and successful autotrans GT86 in Europe and has been professionally maintained by Dave and Adrian at Fensport since I first bought it. Fitted rebuilt forged engine less than 1000 miles ago with HKS supercharger producing 250.5bhp at rear wheels (approx 290bhp at flywheel), SSP Ver 2 upgraded autotrans, torque converter and oil cooler. Fitted Seibon louvred carbon fibre bonnet, bootlid and aerofoil, Tein EDFC suspension, Summit stiffening and control arms, StopTech brakes, TDM forged rims (incl spare). MOT due November. Host of spares include full set of Rota Grid wheels and std. rims fitted snow tyres (never used), spare SSP rebuilt torque converter and spare SSP autotrans awaiting rebuild. ECUtek mapped, needless to say. Fully gauged incl. transoil temp. There is so much on this car I've forgotten half of it . . Currently the only F1-S class car in the TSS - explains the class win at Kendrew, haha . . I would like to complete this years TSS but if some go-faster petrolhead would like to donate £16grand to my pension fund I shall retire gracefully . . (My favourite pic is Eau Rouge . .) Spec K
  2. Hi All, I'm posting this in the general section not the competition area as I hope to encourage those of you with standard cars and who aren't regular competitors to enter the Toyota Sprint Series. They've got a special class (class N2) for bog standard GT86/BRZ. No mods are allowed at all, you've even got to have Primacy tyres, so it's a really cheap way to enter the competition. Also you don't need fancy clothing or an MSA competition licence. There are 6 rounds and you can enter as many or few as you like. I'm going to have a go. Can I entice anyone else to join me? Always more fun with others in your class. We'll be slowest, but it'll be a laugh I'm sure. Here's the link you need - Toyota Sprint Series - you don't have to enter a championship as such, you just enter an event and you're in. (At least that's how I think it works).

    TSS Round 6 @ Snetterton 100

The Snetterton 100 circuit in Norfolk utilises a split so that we can run the circuit with a lapping procedure which doubles the length. Starting at the circuit access point at Agostini and then running the circuit as normal until you reach the split after Palmer where you run left on the first lap into Agostini at speed and using the right lane of the split to go through the finish before leaving circuit. The longer circuit length means that are big gains to be made for those who perfect their technique. Circuit Layout – 100 Circuit Circuit Length – Approx 1.9 Miles Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10. You are required to display competition plates with your competiton numbers on your doors throughout the event along with the series sponsor stickers. We advise that you mount your stickers on magnetic plates if you wish to remove them between events Helmet Hire* – Available on the day for £15 *Please note that all transactions on the day are cash only Purchase Entry
  4. Blyton Park in Lincolnshire has become a series regular since it first appeared on the calendar back in 2011. At the time it was a somewhat dirty bit of concrete using bales and tyres to mark out a course on what was left of the runway and was closer to a rally stage than a sprint course. That winter however the circuit was transformed by a new owner and a large investment into the drivers playground it is today, the concrete surface of the airfield is still in place but now it serves as runoff for the silky smooth surface of the tarmac layed into it. This means that the venue has the benefits of a race circuit but without the barriers that come with it allowing drivers to explore their limits knowing they have that forgiving extra runoff. Blyton Park also boasts several confirgurations after further tarmac was layed over the past few years meaning the two appearances on the calendar provide more than enough variety to warrant the extra visit. Circuit Layout – Outer Circuit Starting at the circuit entry at Twickers and leading down to Jochen this sprint uses the normal Blyton Park layout with the finish just after Ushers. Circuit Length – Approx 1.4 Miles Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10.

    TSS Round 5 @ Croft

TSS ventures up north for a trip to what is a lot of people favourite venue in Croft Circuit, Darlington. Starting and finishing on the start/finish straight we run almost the entire unaltered circuit bar a few hundred metres which means those who are commited can make big gains in Crofts fast sweeping corners before negotiating the hairpin for a clean finish. We are able to use Croft by using a day that would normally be unavailable to us by utilising careful noise management. This means that noise is strictly monitored at this venue as individuals can push the average noise levels up and spoil the event for everyone so those who are taking part in the preceding rounds should be well aware by this point if they need to carry out some work on the car before attending this round. Drivers who are found to be causing a problem will be removed from the event so the quieter everyone is the better the event will run so the whole series should try and ensure their vehicles are as quiet as can they can be. Circuit Length – Approx 1.9 Miles Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10.

TSS Round 4 @ Anglesey Circuit

TSS goes overseas and travels abroad to the island of Anglesey for it’s first ever event outside of England. Anglesey Circuit is a new additional to calendar for 2016 and well worth the trip, you’ll be able to tackle the circuits challenging corners whilst enjoying the scenic views. TSS will be sharing this event with the Javelin Trackdays Sprint Series so this means that entries for each series will initially be limited so they are shared equally between them so we advise you to get your entry in ealy so as not to miss out. Circuit Length – TBC Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10.

    TSS Round 3 @ Woodbridge

Woodbridge Airfield in Suffolk has been a staple for the TSS calendar since 2008. The layout resembles a rally stage in nature more than a circuit with by far the most corners of any of the venues, from tight and twisty sections to fast sweeping corners it has a little of everything and rewards the braver drivers to are willing to attack it. The track dips in and out of the hangar complex and although very open the small bushes at the side of the track can make it feel narrow at times but give the driver a greater sense of speed than anything else on the calendar. As it’s an airfield we have an almost endless number of configurations we can use so the circuit is rarely exactly the same every visit, cones and plastic blocks are used to define the track but only at junctions. Using a lot of the normal trackday circuit layout means the surface gets regular use to scrub the surface (you can even clearly see where the track goes by looking at a satellite view of the airfield) but the track being used gets cleaned using our Hurricane blower beforehand to make it as clean as possible. Circuit Length – Approx 1.3 Miles Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10.

    Next years TSS Shoes

Looking for shoes for next years Toyota Sprint Series for Balloo Enkei are releasing the GTC01RR in Feb and it's on my shortlist, but does anyone else have any suggestions for shoes? I was going to go for the RS05RR but these look more similar to my current wheels and I do like my Titans but could always do with something lighter. It's worth noting the GTC01RR are 18" and i'm looking at a Staggered fitment 8.5" front 9.5" rear aware that it's going to induce understeer but I think with a little bit of play on the geo setup all will be fine and dandy. They come in at about £1600 which isn't too bad and a fraction of the price of forged offerings on the market at a near identical weight. I would have already got them but xmas has ruined me money wise so they are on the back burner until around Feb anyway.
  10. Going to post my TSS Runs here throughout the rounds, I've only watched two of the runs back so far and can immediately see how shit I am. Criticism and advice welcome, so far what I can see is I'm braking too early still (Silly habit of mine) and braking for no reason on some of the corners. Also too wide on them, had I watched these back at lunch I probably could of shaved some good time off if I thought about it sensibly Round 1 - Blyton Park Run 1 - 1:23.18 Run 2 - 1:22.75
