Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 First mod (if you don't count the armrest Richard kindly had fitted). Never had a Japanese car before, but the kids have grown up on Studio Ghibli films - so we have Totoro, Catbus and Jiji to keep an eye on their part of the car. 2 Keethos and Lauren reacted to this
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 Yes, that's it, Rob, Out to Bosely via Macc, up the A54 and down the Cat back to Macc. An old training route of mine when I was racing and living in Macc. I've still never managed four up as there's no legroom behind my seat despite me being a mere 5ft 5". Of course I refuse to compromise my driving position. Prefer how it drives just with me in the car. Now you've just got to get those first 1000 miles done. Enjoy.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 You must be mainly legs then! Plenty of room behind me at 5' 9. I think I'm Italian car shaped... * I.e. I have short legs. I'm not the shape of a Maserati.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 Was nice to get the welcoming committee this morning too. Club postcard in glovebox before I got there... Right, off for another drive. Hope those of you in Suffolk have a good time...

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 Looks lovely. Can the shark fin be retro fitted? I think others have got them. Not sure if OEM or aftermarket though... You can't have mine though 1 Foulsmell reacted to this

Seems to be fully equipped with the bits that let you go round corners with a big silly grin on your face.
ZeeSpeed 2 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 Nice. Any shots of the rear end at all? I'd love to see some UK spec spoilerless booty!
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 Since you insist.... Poverty spec rump, air con and headlamps. And what it looked like when the RRG guys had finished with it... 2 ZeeSpeed and Keethos reacted to this
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 The cubby hole under the heating controls is actually useful! It's so small if you have the climate control, no way my laptop sized phone will fit in it. Looks nice without the spoiler, carries the lines well _____________________________________ www.im-tuned.uk
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 When I changed my spoiler I took a few spoilerless pictures too. I really like it:-
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 I quite like it, although I think a really subtle boot lip would look good too.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 So.... We all went over the hills to Yorkshire Sculpture Park for Father's Day lunch and to look at the Henry Moore exhibition. Very fun drive over but I REALLY WANT TO USE THE OTHER 3500rpm!!! Anyhow. My 8 year old daughter thought it was funny that they could cop out and call a sculpture 'Sculptural Object'. This rapidly became 'Sculptural Bobject' and then 'Sculptural Bob' or 'Bob' for short. Thus the car has its name... This is fairly normal for us... Our other cars are Soupy Dave and Stripy Morten. Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 Sculptural Bob. I think it'll polish out... 2 Keethos and keelerad reacted to this

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 25, 2015 Medium term where I might go with it is this... A few years back I saw an Elise in this colour scheme and just loved it. Coincidentally I followed an identical one this morning and the shade of red is pretty much identical to my car. Bright red, black detailing... Wouldn't take much - the right wheels - lose the chrome, do something to the rear lights... Watch this space (slowly) 1 Keethos reacted to this
