Some TPMS systems know which corner each sensor was on. So if you've put the wheels back on in a different position (swapping front to rear), that could be causing it. Also the system takes some time to acquire readings, and the light will stay on until it gets enough data. It usually takes a few minutes to do that.
  2. You might want to check out prices on different sizes. From Black Circles, prices of a PS4: 225/40 - £98.39 235/40 - £127.20 (+£115 per set vs 225) 235/45 - £162.37 (+£256 per set vs 225) Here's a 225/40 on 8.5, I don't think the stretch looks too extreme.

    Fensport vs Tuning Developments

Peak power is about the same as yours, I think. The graphs on the link are whp; mine was putting out 250whp at Abbey so pretty much the same as they got from the Edelbrock, Mark reckoned that was around 290-295 at the flywheel. Mine hit 199lbft, which is a bit higher than the link, although my peak was from a bump in the dyno curve around the 4500-5500rpm range. That's around the top of the stock torque dip, so you might expect a decat manifold to perform better there.

GR Yaris who's going for it?

I'm with you, closing up the arch gap gives it even more intent! WRC teams drop their cars something like 10cm for tarmac rallies (vs gravel) so nothing wrong with running lower if you want to do your best impression of Sebastien Ogier.

    BRZ mud guard

Not worth it, IMHO, they'd probably stand out more if they were painted. Even on the red car that @Lordyboi posted they're barely noticeable, they're a similar colour to the tyre or the inside of the wheelarch, depending on what angle you're looking at them from. And the inside of them gets covered in crap from the road so if you have a lighter coloured car that crap will be noticeable and you'll end up repeatedly cleaning them. @Jay Bamrah Here's the photos of mine: FRONT: REAR: And lastly, looking along the side at ground level: A lot of the 'dirt' you can see is just raindrops. You can see from the photos looking inside that they're pretty effective at catching a lot of the stuff that gets thrown up off the road.

    BRZ mud guard

Yeah, no worries, will get some pics when I can - might be tomorrow. I haven't forgotten about offering you a ride out in it at some point too, I didn't travel at all over Christmas and obviously we're in lockdown, but if you're still interested we can arrange something when lockdown eases.

    BRZ mud guard

Agree with @jw191, I have the OEM ones on mine too, they're discreet and effective. No idea why they weren't fitted as standard. You can get them direct from Toyota through eBay, or cheaper assuming these are genuine as it says on the listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Toyota-GT86-2012-15-Mudflaps-4-Front-And-Rear-Mud-Flaps-Pu060-18013-P1/360772270319

GR Yaris who's going for it?

According to Howmanyleft, there are 23 of the vanilla version and 227 of the Pro. They did it! In all seriousness, that is not many cars at all. There are more of the new Alpine A110 than there are Supras. I've said it before - at £50k, you'd have to really want one to look past a new Cayman, or any of the incredible lightly used stuff you can get for that money - it opens up a lot of very interesting options. At the end of the day the new Supra just isn't special enough to compete.
  9. I'm in Swindon. I'll be heading past London just before Christmas so could make a detour then, if the timing works for you. I don't know the exact date yet but I can drop you a DM once I've worked out details. Mark gave me a discount on some parts but not the SC. I spent a fair amount when mine was in having the SC fitted; they fitted my brakes & suspension (Black Friday purchases!), and sourced me a new manifold, catback, and some other suspension parts (LCA, ARB, and bushes) and fitted those.
  10. Mine has a Harrop fitted by Abbey and I'll gladly recommend them and the Harrop kit. Most of the turbo/SC kits are around 280-290 at the flywheel, which is ~250whp. Mine is dead on 250whp with the Harrop. The stock clutch and injectors work fine for that. I'm running KW V3 coilovers and Reyland's brake upgrade with AP Racing callipers too, the brakes mostly because I get the stock ones too hot on track (even with uprated pads & fluid). Happy to take you for a spin in it if you want to see how it feels, it's definitely got punch 😁

    Any grey BRZ owners?

    Nice, congratulations!

    Any grey BRZ owners?

He has a build thread here: Not sure how much he's around these days as I believe he sold it.

    Any grey BRZ owners?

Not exactly, but close I guess - grey GT86 with gunmetal alloys (18") and a TRD-style lip. Also slightly lowered. And one in motion before it was lowered: Just my opinion, the paint has a hint of blue in it and I don't think it works quite as well with black wheels - they would work better on a black car - but I appreciate that we all have different tastes. Looks like you're not a million miles from me, if you're near Swindon whilst you're still deciding then drop me a DM and I'll be happy to show you mine.

    New BRZ Hooned

The new BRZ is featured in the latest Hoonigan video, this time with Travis Pastrana doing the driving. Sadly he's not using the BRZ for the video, but the BRZ does make an appearance a couple of minutes in and it's not just sitting around. Is it just me, or does Pastrana spend most of the video looking absolutely terrified?

    2nd Gen GT86

I'd be surprised if that GR Yaris is a road car, and if it is, it may not be officially sold here. I believe the EU type approval regs don't allow canards for pedestrian safety reasons - it was the reason we didn't get the Camaro ZL1 1LE, and I think it affected some others like the Viper ACR too. You can only buy those over here as IVA imports.

GR Yaris who's going for it?

Sub-8 Bridge-to-gantry at the Nurburgring in overcast, greasy-looking conditions and with traffic.

GR Yaris who's going for it?

He's described it as "the best new car I've driven this year" and a "little slice of genius" on Twitter. Fair to say he likes it. This lockdown needs to hurry up and end, I really want to test drive one!

GR Yaris who's going for it?

Pistonheads are raving about it too, and Autocar gave it 5*. Everyone seems to love it. Great news that it's living up to expectations!

Anyone in Herts/Bucks who can show me their car?

No problem, happy to help a fellow enthusiast! Nice to meet you and see that lovely 964, it sounded great as you drove off. 👌 Good luck with the search; I'm definitely not parting with mine any time soon 😉 but hopefully you'll find something that fits the bill and we'll see you at a track day soon.

    Hi all

Missed this when you posted it originally; the mirror kit is available from Japan Parts: https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/44085 I've used them a few times and they're very good. I also have the mirror kit and recommend that too.

Anyone in Herts/Bucks who can show me their car?

I might be passing by that way Monday afternoon/early evening and could take you for a quick blast in mine, running a Harrop SC. Will drop you a DM nearer the time if that's of interest?
  22. Yeah, this basically, I think this is from Broadspeed but put your details into sites like carwow and drivethedeal and see what they come back with. £26.5k doesn't sound like a big enough discount, it's a few years back now but I got almost £4k off list price on mine and it was built to order. Toyota won't want their stock sitting around - especially pre-reg - and I can't imagine too many people are buying sports cars right now so you should haggle hard. I understand the comments about buying used, but a full 5 year warranty and knowing that it hasn't been abused or modified carry some value. I'd second the comments about not waiting for the GR86, it could be less good than the current car and is probably a year away from our shores anyway.

Assuming lockdown rules don't change too much I might be up for that too, would be good to meet you all.

    Jordan aka Smudge

That's really terrible news, so sorry to hear about it. I never met Jordan, but always enjoyed reading his posts and his dogged determination to get the car running again against all the odds. Condolences to those that knew him, and especially to his girlfriend and family.
