    Favorite cars!
    So many decent pictures, all text in Japanese unfortunately.

    I'd budget for a full days labour and if it gets done quicker then it's a bonus.

    Baring in mind I've had the full Milltek system fitted at the same time.

    Car feels easier to drive, smoother gear changes (extra torque must help).

    The real difference I found was 3rd 4th 5th gears. They just keep pulling instead of that feeling that they are gasping.

    More drivability on the motorway due to the extra torque making overtaking etc a lot easier and a more relaxing drive as a result.

    1st & 2nd are by no means tyre shredders and are easily controllable.

    I'm just waiting for some dry weather to give it the full test on my usual test route but so far I'm very happy with the results.

    It now feels a lot more power wise like my mates 350z but with more revs. No need to ring it's neck to get a shift on. Still do though.

    stock GT86 max power at 6800rpm;
    That's why we set the rev limiter to around 7300 rpm.
    Issue with revving these motors harder;

    1, valve spring specification;
    2, crankcase issue with oil being churned around at high revs (engine breathing)
    3, engine componets
    4, piston speeds

    Mark from Abbey Motorsports has done it and offers them on an exchange scheme I believe i.e. part exchange yours for one that has already been gutted, no idea how much and can't remember the gains though.

    The whole thing is a sealed unit. Air does not travel into the cabin from the intake. The intake air vibrates a sealed diaphragm about half way along the pipe which in turn vibrates the air in the cabin

    I have similar set up, Tomei EL decat manifold, Cobra overpipe, Berk sport cat front pipe and ARK DTS exhaust. Fairly loud so just had another resonator welded in. I think the exhaust is bery important as some do a very different job of silencing than others.

    Check this thread. It's OP covers most things related with NA bolton parts. If one takes stock flywheel power as 200bhp, then NA you can get up to +35-40. (Or if dyno shows ~ 155whp, 190-200 whp with most of main exhaust & intake bolton parts + tune). Most gains are from header(manifold)+tune. Last extra whp-s usually show diminishing returns while NA.
    Decatted header and/or decatted frontpipe indeed will add loudness (another reason to do catless header first, as i've seen posts where guy first installed catback exhaust, then later on catless header. Result was too loud to his tastes, and sometimes resulted in installing quieter catback or even stock one back).
