Stone Chip Rust

Recommended Posts

So few weeks after getting my new car I've noticed a rust spot already 🙄 im gutted and now i know it's there cant wait to get it sorted. Ive emailed the Toyota garage but don't think they will do anything as its a stone chip.

Ive read that chipex is pretty good (if they do Pearl White) but concerned that the rust will need to be treated first if I do go down the chipex route.

Has anyone used chipex?

And if so what did you use to treat the rust? Ive seen a Hammerite Kurust Pencil is available.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Best thing to do is get a rubber tipped pencil and some sandpaper, cut a hole out of the sandpaper with a holepunch and sdtick the little circle to the rubber end and wetsand the rust off lightly by twisting the pencil. Then apply some stone chip repair paint :)

Looks like that's at the top of the windscreen, they're a nightmare for getting them there!

I had one there for ages and it did my head in, only recently had it cleaned up and filled in.
