Solwood 10 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 Went to Inchcape Toyota to pick up the retainer bolt and styrene fit the spare wheel Ordered using part numbers from here and the other forum Asked for the price of 5 litres of oil for GT86/BRZ. Is it for a GT86 I was asked. No the BRZ variant Only to be told Sorry I cannot sell you an item if it's not for a Toyota. I would be liable Let's get this straight you won't sell me oil for the same car, same engine, with mostly Subaru parts because it does not have the right badge Corrct he says I asked how he could he be liable if I asked for specific parts? Toyota policy I am told I notice that he did not insist taking back the parts i ordered and that he could not return so would be a loss to him Toyota your ridiculous policy had lost a customer for life
Kodename47 446 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 Next time just say that it's for the GT86 FWIW, when ordering with specific part numbers then I doubt they'll even ask (or at least in my experience). It's easier to just lie in all other circumstances. It's not their issue if you order a part for the car wrong in my eyes....
Guest Report post Posted June 27, 2015 What makes it even more ironic is if you order a new Toyota badge for your front end, it has Subaru moulded into the back face!!We have a new barman in my local, who wont serve Carlsberg in a Carling Glass, or Stella in a Kronenberg glass. Apparently it's against the law to serve x beer in a xx glass.. it well be, but OMG, what an Asshole!!My friend drinks San Miguel, guess what, they have no San Miguel glasses... We go to the pub across the road now..People eh???
Solwood 10 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 Must admit if you are drinking lager a plastic glass would be fine :-) 1 Riceburner reacted to this
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 Beer should always be in the correct glass. They seem to be able to do it quite well in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and Italy I find. Why is it so hard here? 1 Foulsmell reacted to this
Foulsmell 120 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 Beer should always be in the correct glass. They seem to be able to do it quite well in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and Italy I find. Why is it so hard here? +1 It would be an insult to do otherwise. Probably because the beer is worth serving properly over there rather than the swill we seem to get here. Solwood 10 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 Most lager served in the UK are a pale imitation of the same beer in its original country Belgian bets especially need the right glass. Much like wine Must admit I don't like a "mug" handled glad for real ale, my personal tipple of choice.
Solwood 10 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 Nigel not sure they could supply a replacement oem wheel either, I don't think it has Toyota stamped anywhere Perhaps Toyota owners should start rejecting add non Toyota parts what do you think. Ended the 16" enkei with the primo has a Subaru stamp.
Omer86 40 Report post Posted June 28, 2015 You should read the post regarding "2nd service", goes to show how incompetent some of these guys are sometimes. Total jobs worth i think.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 28, 2015 It's the same with any brand. There's good and bad. I do wonder why the manufacturers don't do more though. I'm not particularly loyal to one marque or another, but I basically select from the ones where I know there's either a decent local dealer or specialist. I can't be the only one... You'd think there'd be value in maintaining more consistent standards.
