Rm55mcc 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2015 Just sold my fn2 type R civic and I'm thinking off buying a gt86 , will I get as much fun out off it as I did with the type R??? Thanks
Tareim 343 Report post Posted March 9, 2015 I've not driven a type r civic however I can say for sure that you'll have a lot more fun because its such a great car
JamesP1991 222 Report post Posted March 9, 2015 Similar engine in characteristics albeit not revving as high and a lovely adjustable chassis! I'd say you were on to a win win! How much tuning did your FN2 have? As both stock there isn't a what you'd call a huge amount difference in performance
rob275 1817 Report post Posted March 9, 2015 I think the answer is yes
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 If you had said a DC2 I would have said, well it's not quite as sharp, but I think the answer you are looking for is yes. I think the switch to RWD will mean you can get to enjoy it a whole lot more.

Rm55mcc 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 Is there any problems with rust on the gt86???
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 Not yet. Only the roof which seems to suffer from stone chips. Got a couple of rust spots on mine. The rest is okay.
Rm55mcc 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 Fn2 rusted really bad at the top off the window screen , lucky I didn't have it on mine.. How much is the tax for the year?? Best exhaust and intake??
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 Exhaust and intake are all down to prefrence really, it depends on what you want and what price bracket you fall in.
Rm55mcc 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 I want the best you can get, only put mugen parts on the type R and they were the most expensive you could get.. Way I see it if your going to do it do it right..
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 Sound or performance, if sound what type? There are soooo many combos it's untrue, and most are top manufacturers.

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 All the induction kits are much of a muchness. Depends upon how you want it to sound. Much the same can be said of exhausts. Just find the combination you want and go for that. Tax is £225. Go for Amuse for the exhaust then. There are tons of aftermarket parts all the usual suspects. JamesP1991 222 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 Too many combos to list as others have said! Exhaust wise it all depends on whether you want a loud setup or a quiet! You'll find yourself watching footage of different combos and finding a setup that's suits you
