Guest Report post Posted April 21, 2015 The twin charged 86 in Australia uses the Avo Turbo and the Sprintex Supercharger but surprisingly the turbo is what kicks in first and then the supercharger at the top end, opposite to what I thought it would do (i.e. Supercharger down low and Turbo charger up high). They didn't gain much power but their power and torque curves were impressing. If I had loads of money to burn, I'd do it....just for the shnits and giggles, it'll definitely be interesting to drive! You're thinking of the MRT car Keith.. I like to think more about the Street FX car. Up to 600HP and wild!!As you say, doing it is fun, but expensive. As Lauren rightly says, big money for a complex system, but hey.. it would be fun?? AND, the only AM manifold out there is over £2K!!!!
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted April 21, 2015 What about all the torque steer from all that extra power in that FWD Scirocco though?! Understeerin'ell! Yeah agree with Mike - never a problem.
TRDness 26 Report post Posted May 10, 2015 How's your fuel economy been since getting the Cossy installed? When you haven't been planting your foot and enjoying the power it has to offer that is
mike-p 116 Report post Posted May 10, 2015 It's a bit sad, I'm getting around 35mpg in normal driving. It's sad that I know this, the mpg is quite good.
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted May 10, 2015 That's about the same as an NA mpg wise. Which is pretty good. I get around 37mpg day to day.
