KevinA 695 Report post Posted October 26, 2014 Think a new battery may be in order, question is OEM or any better options. Sure you folks have some experience here. Thanks
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted October 26, 2014 Just out of interest why do you need a new battery?
KevinA 695 Report post Posted October 26, 2014 The car is not a DD and battery has gone flat twice now after only a short amount of ignition on. With winter coming on I thought a new one would be wise not having any knowledge of the previous use / abuse lol. Have got a conditioner I can put on while garaged over winter when some bits get tweeked.
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted October 26, 2014 Do you use the car a lot? If you don't, a trickle charger may be a better option. I left mine for over two weeks without an issue.
Kodename47 446 Report post Posted October 26, 2014 Get a new battery on warranty? May just be a weak one, some have been known to have them. Shouldn't happen if left for a few weeks IMO.
Guest Report post Posted October 31, 2014 Just my 2p... My car went flat in about 3 weeks, I now keep it on a trickle charger and have no issues. The engine is coming out this weekend so the battery will go on the shelf, trickle charging.
