Hi everyone, here is a sneak peak at the proposed regulations for the GT86 Trophy Sprint Series :)

Depending on which class you are entering depends on the regulations applicable.

eg1: Driver A enters N2 Street so will have to comply with section S & G

eg2: Driver B enters N3 Pro so will have to comply with section P & G

all entrants have to comply with section G

Hope that makes sense :)

Please post any questions/suggestions below

G-47, Results are final after 15 minutes, unless a protest is lodged in writing with an event steward.

Track

G-50, If any senior experienced participant should object to the condition or suitability of the course at least 30 minutes prior to the start of a competitive run then the course should be modified or the event postponed. No testing, wheel spinning, doughnuts, showing off etc in the pit area

Failure to adhere to the above may get you excluded from the event.

Right to entry

TSS reserve the right to withhold or bar an entry from anyone found to be bringing the sport as a whole, TSS or it's sponsors and associates in to disrepute.

Anyone found to be abusing the above will also be banned from using the forum.

Points System:

The 2014 championship consists of 6 rounds. You are welcome to complete all 6 rounds but only your best 5 scores will count.

Points are allocated as follows Fastest overall 75 points, 2nd overall 74 points etc etc.

This way everyone who competes scores points.

This system benefits everyone except class GT-1 FI Pro, as there is the real possibility to “steal points” from other (higher) classes.

E.g. a class GT-5 car beats a class GT-2 Street car etc.

It also encourages reliability over outright power.

It also gives an overall position for everyone at the end of the year; again this will be a benefit to the lower capacity classes, or maybe an embarrassment to the higher capacity classes?

Points are to be awarded to the driver and not the car.

Car can be changed throughout the season as long as the car is in the same class.

Car can be upgraded through the season to a higher class, driver will retain all points scored.

If a car is downgraded then points will be frozen and driver starts afresh

All GT86 classes will also score points for overall places in the Toyota Sprint Series, these points are awarded in a similar fashion and do not affect the GT86 series.

Best Regards

Adrian

Class names don't equate to anything on the TSS site Adrian,

F2 = F-Street am I correct in saying this? I just text Keith and he's none the wiser either and had the same issue as me when looking tonight.

Besides updating the official TSS website, Adrian needs to double check the definitions for his N1, N2 and N3 as he's written N3 twice, no N1  :P   But sadly I don't think he's guna be able to respond or do anything about it till he gets back from down under!

Excellent!

Just got off a hot keyboard to Tony at Fensport - I noted, like Rob,  that Class 'F' was for 1litre normally aspirated in the TSS Regs... think that's a bit unfair of us.... Tony confirms that GT86/BRZ f/I is Class F2..

All I need to do now is wait for my new bank card to arrive so I can pay my entry fee... some thieving barsteward tried to use a clone on Monday for a lap-dancing club/dating agency  in Germany so I've had to cancel it with my bank and take a pair of scissors to it...

.... I hope the Kraut toe-rag suffers a painfully incurable STD.....

In order to comply with TSS Regulations, Class F, I am going to sleeve down my engine to 1 litre capacity

.... anyone else willing to do the same.....? .... we'd have a pair of 'Boxer shorts'...  hahah...

<thunk>

Reminder -

The appropriate 'series sponsor decals/numbers' will be distributed by Javelin at the first event, according to Adrian. Not sure how it will be managed with later entrants but I'm sure it will work..

I shall be asking if the 'magnetic' backing can be available as well - I used it last year and, whilst not cheap, it is a lot better than peeling off stickies after every event..

The key to magnetics is to ensure you store them flat between events as they seem to 'memorise' a curve.. I might buy some extra to keep in the goodies box...
