Mark@Abbey M/S 235 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 There has been another update on the GT86 ECUTEK software after the ability to tune your own car that was rolled out a few week ago; we can now 3D the throttle maps so we can have throttle position versus speed so the throttle maps can now be mapped against throttle position. So basically we can soften the throttle against speed. Original 2D throttle maps are below The new 3D are below; A few people have already have this update and report they are very happy , anyone that has been tuned bu Abbey let me know and I will check what Software you was tuned with and we can then lend you ECUTEK cable and update your tune no problem. We are also working on the cold start issues (noise) as well seems there is a few other calibrations that need modifying that we are unable to get to at the moment , it is being looked in at ECUTEK as we write. Keethos 842 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 Awesome stuff Mark, is this more applicable to supercharged cars or would you also do this to NA cars too? If so, what exactly would you do? Is it something like less throttle at low speeds for SC to tame the torque? Would doing this on an NA car be for for eco reason?
rob275 1817 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 I think the only logical reason to have this in an N/A is to tame the car in cold weather (snow mainly). Could be useful on the Eco map
Mark@Abbey M/S 235 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 Yes the throttle maps would work well on a Eco map we can limit the throttle opening up to a certain speed so helping fuel economy. Map on the top left is a pretty good economy throttle map.
