Special K 442 Report post Posted November 2, 2013 There has been speculation over whether the GT86 will pass the DGA 2500 MOT exhaust emissions test if the primary cats are deleted (I have already published that primary cats alone meet the legal minimum) As promised, I had my (Fensport turbo'd) car tested yesterday. This is fitted with a 200 cel high-flow secondary cat supplied by and mounted in a Hayward & Scott exhaust system, engine management remapped by Adrian. On both 'high boost' and 'low boost' maps it met the requirements - Fast Idle Test -CO - 0.014 (max. 0.200)HC - 11 (max 200 )Lambda - 1.011 (max 1.030) Natural Idle Test -CO - 0.016 (max. 0.300) Spec K 1 Sideways? reacted to this

tegunulgener 84 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 So, if we get rid of one of the cats it is still legal with one cat? I have a feeling that I misunderstood. I guess instead of 2 cats, one 200 high flow cat is enough for the legal requirements... Or am I wrong again?
rob275 1817 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 You have two CAT's If you remove one you will be fine, you can also just have the One Hi-Flow CAT proven to be legal even with a turbo.
