Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted September 11, 2015 Hi All,Have any of you tried this iOS/Android app@http://www.caristaapp.com/ It appears to allow you to update config settings using OBD2 adapter. I have the necessary hardware for this, but it costs money to enable the feature to save settings so have not tried it yet. It supports the following on my car, although the website suggests it should support some more options around climate control settings. Doors / Windows / Remote: Blink turn signals when locking/unlocking with remote YES / NO Beep when locking/unlocking with remote YES / NO Volume of beep when locking/unocking with remote OFF / 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / MAX Warn when door can't be locked with remote because it's open YES / NO Panic function on remote ENABLED / DISABLED Open trunk lid with remote SINGLE CLICK / DOUBLE CLICK / LONG PRESS / VERY LONG PRESS / DISABLED Re-lock doors automatically if you unlock, but don't open a door YES / NO Re-lock doors automatically if you unlock, but don't open a door within… 30 SECONDS / 60 SECONDS / 120 SECONDS Unlock doors via remote DRIVER'S DOOR ON 1ST PRESS, ALL ON 2ND / ALL DOORS ON 1ST PRESS Instruments / Display / Dings: Key-in-ignition ding sound SLOW / MEDIUM / FAST Ding when headlights are left on YES / NO Seat belt warning ding (driver) ENABLED / DISABLED Seat belt warning ding (front passenger) ENABLED / DISABLED Lights: Daytime running lights ON / OFF Coming-home lights duration OFF / 30 SECONDS / 60 SECONDS / 90 SECONDS Auto headlights activation threshold DARKEST / DARKER / NORMAL / LIGHTER / LIGHTEST Dim interior lights after… 7 SECONDS / 15 SECONDS / 30 SECONDS Turn on interior lights when you shut off engine YES / NO Turn on interior lights when you unlock doors YES / NO Interior light control ENABLED / DISABLED

smudge 1020 Report post Posted September 15, 2015 So have you actually been able to do anything with the app?
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted September 15, 2015 Yes, so far changed auto light sensitivity so they go off when it is dark rather than when the sun is a bit low or shadey I tried the engine start indicator but couldn't see any difference. The Lock bleep option doesn't seem to do anything as the UK cars don't bleep. I have the alarm bleep when I lock the doors instead (an alarm customisation option)More tests tomorrow!

Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted September 16, 2015 No worries! They are adding me to the iOS beta and have answered a few questions for me today. I still have more for them about what some of the features actually mean/do
Gringosteve 213 Report post Posted September 17, 2015 Beta is now installed. It gives control of the heater settings. I have used it so far to: 1) not turn on AC when i turn on front demisted2) Remove a -1c calibration on the temperature dial. I often though it was under reading, so will give that a try. Additional tools such as service indicator resets (not needed on our cars) etc will be coming shortly also.
