A couple of little things.. I got my Joying Android head unit fitted after a bit of aggro. I bought the connects2 dash kit for the GT86 and the brackets and the Joying did not want to play ball. There were some metal tabs on the brackets that where preventing them from sitting flush against the unit. A bit of angle grinding later, and it was in. Unfortunately, the bits of trim that comes in the connects2 kit also don't fit (GG really), they're ever so slightly too large so I currently have a bit of gap in the dash. I can live with it though, for now at least. I also took long awaited receipt of my Anarchy Motive Titan gear knob. I didn't realise quite how big a difference a heavier knob would make, but shift feel is massively improved. When you consider cost and difference made, it's my favourite change so far. I went to a cars and coffee meet last month and it was a nice sunny day and I'd cleaned my wheels for the meet so I grabbed a few better pics of the wheels on the way home. I spent this weekend just gone in Surrey and managed to get booked in to Abbey while I was there. I was visiting for a full geo check and also to add to the soundtrack I did get the geo done when I got the suspension fitted but I kept on thinking that something wasn't right so I wanted to get it on the Hunter to check everything. It was out of shape by quite some way to my surprise, camber all over the place and quite an amount of toe at the rears. This has been sorted now and the car felt rather different on the drive home. So yea, pops and bangs. I have always wanted a setup that bangs etc and I'm not sure why I didn't ask for something to be done when I originally got the car mapped but oh well, with the recent discussions I decided I'd get something sorted. I asked Mark to go nuts with it as it's a copy of the map I use day-to-day so I can easily swap back and forth between the two and go nuts he did Now I've run it a bit I have a couple of things I might get tweaked next time I pop down as it can be a little harsh but it certainly makes some noise. It's pretty ridiculous tbf but that's where having changeable maps comes in handy. I got the gf to do a couple of (admittedly crap) videos and the car was being a little camera shy I think but it gives you an idea anyway. I also found a video that I did ages ago and never shared so here's that too.

Sorry @Paul, that's what I meant. I initially went with 13x7 because the 12x6 has smaller lettering.

My car has had a remap?

lol yes it was already rather savage. I believe the bulk of it is retarding ignition but @Mark@Abbey M/S could probably tell you better as he's the guy that tunes my car @Paul I've been away in Surrey all weekend seeing friends so I haven't had much of a chance to play. I was fortunate that Mark could see me Friday morning so I could go there and then I only had a 15 min drive to where I was going (2 birds, 1 stone 'n' all that). I did give @rob275 a lift out later that day though and we had a bit of a laugh at it. @Tareim Got a clip last night, it's not the greatest but will give you an idea. I was going to update my thread anyway, should have that done soon.

    Paul's Pearl White '86

Nice Paul! I do prefer it all smoked Ah really? I could be wrong but I thought 13x7 was legit? I'll be honest I partly got 13x7 because it doesn't have the small letters that a 12x6 has so I thought they were okay. After I got it I realised I didn't actually care but I actually like the fitment of the 13x7. 12x6 is legal on a JDM import though and as these don't have the long 'strip' recess most people would probably just assume it's a grey import.

    Daily Driver Vs Weekend Toy

I don't commute but I don't have another car/runaround so it varies wildly how much I drive it, it's mostly a toy though. It hasn't worn off for me yet and I doubt it will. If anything I enjoy it more after each change I make.

    Car History

Most of mine were either bought for peanuts from family members/friends or were sub £1k Ebay wins but here goes, I'm pretty sure these are all in the right order Rover 100i (Metro, basically) Mk3 Vauxhall Astra (think it was an LS model) 1.7 diesel (non-turbo, slowest thing ever) Mk3 Vauxhall Astra SRi 2.0 petrol Mk3 Volkswagen Golf GTi 2.0 8v ST202 Toyota Celica SS-I (JDM import) ST202 Toyota Celica SS-II (JDM import) Almost a Nissan 350Z (had a deposit down and pick up date arranged before the guy pulled out and said he wanted to keep it, leading to me buying...) Renaultsport Megane II R26 Mk1 Ford Focus 1.6 (was offered this so took it as a temp runaround while still being able to afford to save for...) Toyota GT86 Have always wanted a RWD Jap coupe, got their eventually.

Yea lots of people have 18 x 9.5 ET35/38 all round with no problems, it's how I knew it was what I wanted I did wonder if you'd go up to 9.5 on the fronts.
  23. Not in the country then unfortunately but would be up for one of the future ones
