I had the hybrid out for a test drive whilst the 86 was in the garage having the coilpak replaced. I really liked it. Great looking car, especially the split colour. Fab cabin, with plenty of toys. Handling was nice and nautral and she seemed to stop well too. I did find the engine cutting in with very little pressure on the pedal when in traffic, which seemed a bit odd. When I got back to the dealers I got a hybrid priced up. With my added options it came to £31,500, which seems sonewhat expensive. -
Everything car, just love driving it, even commuting into London on a daily basis. With the applied mods it just does everything so well. Only outstanding item to address is the sound system. I recall seeing an install at an Amber event the other year, which looked mustard. I think it was Lauren's?

Agreed, I've been running the F3's for the past few months, a really good all round road tyre. Handles the extra power of the SC really well.

Glad it all turned out OK for you Lauren and great response from the garage. Due to previous battery issues I brought one of those excellent Lithium battery power packs. Small enough to store in the glove box and great for all things which need to be started or charged 👍

Oh well, without some positive feedback regarding MOT time I will hold fire on any changes to my current exhaust configuration.
-
The car went in for its first MOT over the weekend and passed with flying colours . I was interested to see what the exhaust gas analyzer reading was as I have a Blitz system complete with 2nd de-cat pipe. The tester informed me that it was bang in the middle and a good pass. Having mussed about fitting a 1st de-cat manifold and high flow 2nd item I was wondering if anybody had put this configuration through an MOT?

Fensport are fitting the stage 2 kit for me in July. I already have a 2.5" 2nd de-cat Blitz system and customer map license from the original upgrade. It's an auto car used for my daily transport into London and B road fun at the weekends. No track activity. I'm like kid at Christmas, can't wait

Won't be able to stay for too long as I've just been reminded that I'm needed for some DIY @ the mother-in-laws -

Just spotted this, as local to me I will be there to say hello. -
Hi Twigman Yes, I recall good times @ the Cricketers and was up there a lot around late 90's and early 00's. I also owned a blade for some years, a US import, Erion racing model. Happy days : )) Currently I own a Ducati Multistrada, best bike I've owned by a country mile. Cheers

Evening all Bumped into GT86-Ian on Friday when he turned up @ Fensport to collect his new wheels. Got chatting and he recommended I join the forum. Now I'm already on another popular 86 site but thought an introduction only proper. Living just outside of Watford I've owned a Ginger one for last 14 months. The car was an ex-demo (auto, leather heated seats, sat) with 900 miles on the clock. I had no intention of doing any mods and was very happy with car for the first few months. However there is something about this car which begs for a few changes so this what's been done so far: Engine Blitz system Blitz de-cat Blitz induction pipe / filter ECU re-map Suspension New springs (-25) Camber bolts OZ 18" * 8 wheels with 225/40 Conti SP5 tyres Future plans - turbo in Sept (thanks Ian for demo!) & big brake kit at some point. I look to meeting-up at a future forum gathering. Cheers David
