AndyK got a reaction from BRZ-123 in Can you increase HP without increasing torque
Similar to Martin, it came down to having instant torque delivery and general responsiveness. Car has plenty of low down grunt now, and power continues nicely higher in the revs. Ultimately, it's an expensive purchase either route (both transform the car) so if you don't have a clear preference in your mind perhaps give Abbey (I'd recommend these guys from my experience) or Fensport a call, and if their demo cars are avaliable it'll help you decide.

All booked for 17 March. Going to have to drive gently until then.
I'll let you know how it feels once done.

Abbey did the complete install, ecutek licence, mapping etc. similar to Martin in terms of cost. Although the Harrop kit had increased in price by the time I ordered so a little more. I had uprated discs, pads and lines fitted at the same time so breaking down labour is a bit tricky as it was all as one. Would recommend speaking to Scott or Mark at Abbey, both very helpful.

Another vote for Abbey and the Harrop. Have been running since September, has completely transformed the car. I'm running stock manifold, 240whp.

I've been researching the best brake setup for my BRZ and come to the same conclusion as advice I've received from various others: I don't need a BBK, the stock brakes are plenty fine for my road-only driving.  I then set about looking for the best brake pads I can find and have been advised that PFC Z front pads and Cosworth Streetmaster rears offer the best balance for fast road use.  They're on order and I'll fit them when I have all the parts.  I don't need new discs just yet and have time to research them when they finally need replacement.
Meanwhile, it's tyres for winter use time again.  I'm going to use my old Rota 17" wheels and buy another set of Goodyear Vector 4Seasons 225/45 as the last set I used were excellent for general winter use and getting through the snow in my lane.
When it's spring, I'll then buy a set of 235/40 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 for my 18" XXR wheels.  I'll also take the chance to transfer the TPMS sensors from my winter to my summer wheels.
