    Experienced Wheel Buyers

Aesthetically, out of your listed choices I would go for the 18x8 TE37s, the RPF1s don’t look as good with the curved spokes on the smaller widths to my eye. 17s would be better function-wise though.

As above, not ideal offsets for reducing the horrible standard sunken look. Also be sure that those widths give you the look you’re after in terms of the spokes eg. Below 9” the RPF1 spokes are more curved whereas on the higher widths they are flat which looks much nicer imo and with the TE37s you won’t get any concavity at those widths.

    Inovit RD21 Wheel

Certainly look a better shout than the inovits, supposedly well made wheels too. Quick google puts the weight at more or less the same as the stock 17s, but with the larger tyres will almost certainly be heavier overall. Should look good against the blue though, quite a classic Subaru look I guess.

    Inovit RD21 Wheel

As people have already mentioned the fitment isn’t ideal as the wheels will still be pretty tucked, another unknown is the weight of the wheel, being a cheaper brand I doubt these are the lightest. This is a great website for checking how different widths and offsets will sit in comparison to stock. For reference most people use 25mm rear and 20mm front spacers to bring stock wheels flush to the arches.

    Which Tuner?

I haven’t remapping work done but just to echo what others have said, I’m sure you will be happy with either company. When I lived in London, Abbey worked on my 350z and now I’m further north TD have worked on my 86, both offered fantastic service and truly know their stuff.

    Long time lurker...hello!

Hello mate, welcome, I think I recognise your name/car from the OcUK forums too

Excited to join the GT86 club

Yep, the ones he has are the exact ones I had on in my thread linked above. Beautiful wheels, suit the 86 perfectly. Frankly, I would definitely get the suspension sorted first regardless, aftermarket wheels, especially at that fitment, will look ridiculous at stock height.

Excited to join the GT86 club

Hi, congrats on the purchase (especially going for grey ) and welcome to the club. In regards to the Works, +30 will be pushing it a bit, especially at the front where they will poke quite a lot - I had a set of 9.5 +38 on mine, if you check out this thread you can see how they sat. Coilovers most people go for BC or Tein Flex A's at the lower(ish) end of the budget scale, Ohlins are well regarded at the higher end, HKS Hipermax somewhere in the middle. For exhausts, check out Tuning Developments, they are currently running a group buy for their exhausts on here and are also the go-to guys for NA tuning (catless manifold) and turbo kits Rich

    PHSS Ginetta 25/02/18

Oh I might pop along to this, only a few miles away, honestly had no idea Ginetta were in Leeds.
  14. Omg of course! It's all flooding back now, just found this vid from Shep, couple of clips it looks like I'm on his team, can't remember if they were actual clan games or just pick ups. Man, I miss those times. Do you still play much?
  15. <-- Nimzicki on OcUK I'm going to check and see if I can make this, looks good! P.S Lowe you mentioned CS on there, did we play together? My memory of that time is pretty shaky these days

Check out this thread for more info mate
  17. Well this is a horrible thread to post but I'm going to be working abroad for a few months so I am reluctantly putting my GT86 up for sale. I'm absolutely gutted and if this does sell I will more than likely buy another one when I get back to the UK. Spec '13 plate GT86 in dark grey 42k on the clock, not a daily car but will potentially go up a bit. MOT is due at the beginning of March but I will have this done so the new owner gets a full 12 months ticket. Black cloth interior. Standard Toyota head unit with sat nav. Full Toyota service history. Last service carried out 27/09/17 Modifications BC Racing BR Coilovers fitted less than 1.5k miles ago at Tuning Developments. Stoptech front and rear brake pads and standard front discs replaced less than 4k miles ago. Uprated Focal IS165TOY front speakers. Beatsonic shark fin aerial. Bad Points Couple of marks/stonechips as to be expected, previous owner looks to have tried to repair a small scrape by the rear tail-light with a touch up brush, maybe 2 inches or so, not noticeable unless you look for it but I like to be honest. The paintwork is in great condition overall. Wheels have a couple of small scrapes from the previous owner. Extras I have a couple of bits that I bought with the intention of fitting but could be included for an extra cost: Brand new in box 25mm Eibach spacers. Replica TRD rear spoiler, painted in grey and ready to fit. Location / Price The car is currently located in Otley, just north of Leeds (LS21) Price is £13.5k ovno. Please, no silly offers, I am quite happy to store the car if it doesn't sell, I have no great desire to see it go. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like more photos - I'll get some interior and engine bay shots added asap. Pics below, more can be seen on my 'mod' thread here nb. the Works on the car in that thread have been sold, it will come on the standard 86 wheels as below. 19. @TTR was potentially selling his/my/his again Work Emotions in that fitment... Edit - oh and I have a set of HKS Hipermax IV Coilovers in the shed, one strut needs replacing (which I will do) but if you're interested let me know.

    Malian Exhaust? Any good?

Minor thread hijack but Mike do you happen to have a sound clip of your resonated exhaust with the standard manifold?

    Lowe's Team Grey

Fair enough, I know what you mean about bronze, if it’s too dark it doesn’t work at all for me either. I spent days photoshopping different wheel designs and colours before choosing - I think the grey is probably the hardest colour to choose wheels for. Looking forward to seeing them on the car

    Lowe's Team Grey

Looking forward to seeing the wheels on. Personally I’d avoid going black, you lose all the detail of the wheels and I’d be carrying tyre shine around with me constantly. I had bronze Works on my grey 86, brings a bit of colour to stop it being so monochromatic and makes more of a feature of the wheels
  24. Sounds fantastic, louder than I expected with the resonated Miltek too.
