  1. Would any of the brilliantly dedicated admin staff know of any plans to order more club hooded.  Such as the one regularly modeled by @Lauren at meets and events

If no plans exist what do we need to do to arrange this?

I'm sure interest would be high enough to make it worth the clubs while.

  2. Last details added to the breakfast page.

With the B&D this weekend I'm starting to think of the next get together for the Manchester area.

I've wanted to have a go at a show and shine contest.  Anyone else interested in this.

I'm thinking mid to late April as long as there is no clash with TSS events.

I will find a pub to host it and run two categories.  Hosts choice and members choice.

The host picks the best polished car in their opinion.

The members being more knowledgeable vote for the best all round presented car.

Possibly have an entry fee of  £1 per category winner of each takes the pot should cover a Couple of drinks etc

    Opinions please

  3. Last little details.  Parking for the breakfast is in Victoria house office car park.  I will be there at close to 9.30am to open the gate.

There will be people working in the office so can I ask for no excessive engine reving. Save that for the airport tunnels where everyone will appreciate the music.

Do we have anyone else wanting the drives directions emailed to them?

  4. I've spoken to the victorian to reconfirm rough numbers.

They have asked if we would like to pre order so.

    Who would like full English.

    Who would like sausage butty

    Who would like bacon.

Who would like a combination of all of the above.

This will also get us out on the drive before any potential traffic has chance to build up

  5. Right all.

    Everything is now fully organised

We have use of my works car park if we need it.  It's free parking so probably recommended.

So far Lauren is the only person to have asked for the directions emailing to her.  Anyone else wanting them emailed?

  6. The ND mx5 and it's sister RF are fantastic drivers cars.  The only issue is the amount of body roll they have.  I've had NB and NC models and spent many many pounds just to get them to corner in the flat manner of the 86.

The front end turn in of the ND is better then the first gen 86 but can't comment on the new model.

The mx5 is very easy to drive fast down a country road mainly because it's the same size as a ballet slipper but it cuddles you through a corner instead of you pushing it and trying to balance the car like when driving the gt86.

Auto trader and evo mag have some interesting comparison videos on YouTube of the two cars. In both the ND is faster round a track but that's mainly because of the different stock tyres

  7. Thanks Gents.  5.1 it is. I think I'll uprate the brake lines at the same time.

@Ade as the forums main equipment guru is there a particular brand/type of brake line which recommended or is it a simple choice of hell and Goodrich.

    Thanks again

  8. Morning all.  I've just spent most of my night shift at work looking at brake fluids.

To many reviews and the late hour has mashed my brain which isn't hard to do in normal hours.

Is dot.5.1 actually any better then dot4?

    What does dot actually mean?

What is the go to fluid for a road track combination?

    Thanks all

  9. If anyone would like the guide emailed to them for their Google maps let me know and I will forward it to you.

If anyone is bringing a Co driver I'm happy to print out a few copies.  Let me know as wasting paper is a pet hate of mine.

The victorian is tweeking it's menu so I will post that soon.

I'm speaking to the landlord of my office block to see if we can use the secure gated car park at my office as it's directly across the road from the victorian and offers more space then the public car park.
