Just now, Minion said:I did try and get a quote on there website and they declined me due to my age I'm guessing
I think they may be 21 and older, now that I think about it. I was with Admiral before, have you tried them?
-
Im with direct line and I'm 21. I got mines cheaper because I got my mum to also change to direct line and got the multicar policy!
-
How do I go about paying? Can someone pm me the details please!

If there was only a UK retailer who would offer them :/
Speak to @Ade.. If memory serves me correctly, he knows a shipping company that can ship things from the states for a decent price!

I would argue that having a more linear torque curve in the mid range, and basically no torque dip, makes more difference than 5hp peak. That was my reason for swaying towards UEL, plus of course the sound.
I agree completely!

True, but then I'm sure the sweet sound of the UEL rumble will get to me, and I'll have to have it!
Performance wise, is it not only +- 5hp anyway, I'm sure I can live with that!

EL or UEL?
I really need to get my finger out and get it done!

I've been toying with going down the route of FI anyway, so might just hold off and pay @Mike@TD.co.uk a visit hopefully soon. I think TD now offer EL & UEL unless I'm mistaken!

12 minutes ago, S18 RSG said:Just a side note, I'm in the same position as you now @Merich22.
As knight said, the 1320 and GruppeS manifold are really cheap, but I have had quotes for both from suppliers, and after shipping and import taxes, both end up around £500 or more, plus you generally have to wait around 2-3 weeks minimum for it to arrive. Then you have the issue of warranty. Sure, you have a warranty, but any replacements will have to be sent back to America, so you could go weeks without a manifold again.
Compare that to a Tomei/Borla sourced from the UK, sure, you'll pay around £600, but you get it within a few days, you pay no extra, and you have a UK based warranty and returns program. That's worth the extra £100 in my eyes.
@S18 RSG I never thought of it like that! Yeah, for the extra £100 pound, it's more than worth it when you put it like that!
Suppose I'd better start saving!

4 minutes ago, knightryder said:Borla is UEL, Tomei does both EL and UEL. The eBay one is EL.
If you want UEL but without the cost then 1320 Performance or Gruppe-S seem to be well reputed in the States. The Gruppe-S is believed to be a "White Label" Tomei
Yeah, I think I'll prefer the UEL. Thanks bud, ill look into Gruppe-S too.. I'd never heard of them until now!
-
So probably better to hold off and get a Tomei or Borla?

I seen this the other week, opinions? Think it'll do the job, or be awful?

Mines is @callummerich.
Nothing overly exciting, odd car picture and random days out.

Recieved mines on friday! Thank you

Yes Rich you should be able to book additional beds. Availability was good when I booked. look back soon for update on the 11th. If you don't mind sharing the family room on the 12th then you can grab that bunk as Faith won't need it.
Faith thats cool.
Merich are you still in?
Yeah, Im still up for this! Can you pm me where I need to book rooms for? Not sure if its cause its early morning, but I cant get my head round it all! haha

1 minute ago, Tareim said:yep, I was talking with the guy doing my MOT and he said he had a diesel come in and was 90% sure it was decatted due to the typical diesel turbo whistle once they are decatted but he couldn't prove it due to not being allowed to remove any of the undertray to look where the cat should've been
That's always handy to know. Would it not still fail on emissions though with no cats? The car wont need MOT'd for another 2 years anyway, but saves having to swap parts out come that time!
-
Oh really? Thanks bud, I never knew that!
-
Ive got a custom built catback with secondary cat delete and 4" Titanium style tips. I asked the guys to put in a dummy cat so it may sneak past an MOT or visual inspection if needed.
System is brutally loud on a cold start but once warm it purrs, and doesn't drone on the motorway whatsoever.
Considering getting a decat manifold in the near future and maybe putting back in a HFC in the main pipe.

The key needs a lot of force to turn, I thought it didn't work either when I tried.
I had to get a small Allen key and use it as leverage to turn it in the lock.
This should help you get into the car, then pop the bonnet and get a charger on the battery!
