The only parts you have to cut is the washer bottle bracket but you can do it another way . Either way nothing too exciting, you also have to  use a hand riveter to attach 2 bolts onto the bumper beam but the bolts go into existing holes anyway. Everything else is just assembling it all together. I borrowed a programming kit from someone. I have a tune sent from AVO , you don't actually need to get the car tuned by a professional but is good to get the most out of  turbo.

I've had this installed for around 2 weeks now. I opted for the EL setup for the small performance advantage it gives over UEL (I think 2-3 hp)
The car feels fantastic! It pulls harder throughout  the entire rev range, the torque dip has been completely eliminated and the car is simply more enjoyable to drive. You no longer feel like you're forced to change down to 2nd coming off a roundabout or overtaking . 3rd pulls like 2nd used to pull on the stock car once you got over the now non existent torque dip.  Also love the throttle response from the tune, makes heal toeing a breeze.
Coming from a guy who likes a loud exhaust.... Unless you like very LOUD! I would suggest you have a resonated exhaust system with this or any catless manifold. I quickly swapped my Cobra non-res for the resonated mid section. It brought the "scary loud" volume down to a nice deep burble when cruising through towns/villages but still has an aggressive growl WOT.
I plan on upgrading to TD's turbo kit in the not too distant future (which is compatible). But until then, this package will keep me satisfied.

Dongle is not car specific, it's just the license for the laptop software.

I suppose. I guess my point is Its possible to like anything that has a point to it and a bit of character

My last car was a Saab. Epic in a straight line, hilariously dodgy in bends but like sitting in a stupidly fast armchair. Thus I loved it.

My other car is s Citroen Berlingo . I love that because it's a big square useful box, and not pretending otherwise. Also fun to drive quickly because it shouldn't be possible.

I love the GT86 because the compromises are true to its character.

For me the choices were the Fiesta, the Toyota or a V8 Jag (really). Couldn't be more different, but all interesting and with a bit of identity.

What I can't stand is when I borrow a car (usually an Audi) which is supposed to be refined luxurious, and it has 35 profile tyres and a friggin' awful ride. What's the earthly point of that?
(See also small cars that don't handle, and estates with no boot space or practically any SUV that couldn't manage a muddy field...)

So as above, we've been really unfortunate with some parts recently. Just seems that everything we order, either is out of stock, turns up broken or faulty...not fun!
On a more positive note, there really isn't a lot left to do. It's a case now of:
Finishing the pipework for the supercharger Finishing off exhaust manifolds Fitting and configuring ECU Not a lot in terms of a list but fairly time consuming jobs nonetheless
I've had to put off various shows throughout the year which is slowly killing me, so I made the decision to go all out for a really promising show called "Gravity" based at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry. It's organised by Slammed UK and was basically a selection of hand picked cars for the show, so the standards were high. With the hotel being booked months ago, we got the engine and gearbox mounted so I wasn't going to miss this one!

This meant an EXTREMELY long weekend consisting of hiring a transporter from near Gatwick and collecting the car from Brands Hatch

Taking it over to my friend near Heathrow for good clean

And then back to mine near Croydon. Saturday was then spent failing to fit some new parts due to the battery finally giving up after 9 months of no charge, changing the wheels over and driving up to the show Saturday night to drop the car off in the main event hall

Adam was at the same hotel as me so with the girls we had a great evening over some good food and many many many many beers.
The show itself was fantastic. So well organised and the standard of cars was amazing. Needless to say I got some attention by arriving on the back of a transporter and everyone commended me for the determination to get my car there which made it even more worth while
The best part of the whole show was just seeing people's confused faces as they looked in the engine bay. The V8, particularly with it's new colourful rocker covers, is very striking and gets people asking sorts of questions. I just can't wait to finally get her up and running!
